I love where you say, point guards need to look to score first. and not look to pass first. bc that's where you're going to open up opportunities for your teammates.

Agree with all your statements. Thing is, most coaches have a vision of what they think is success. PG’s are still pass first in most coaches mindsets at least in here is Australia which makes young PG’s confused with too much pressure to control the game and burn out. Thoughts?

There is definitely a major disconnect between the youth level and modern basketball, mostly because there are a lot of coaches with an unwillingness to evolve or ask questions. It’s getting better in America, but it’s still not close to where it should be. I think for youth players everywhere, it highlights the importance and putting in the work and getting as good as possible. If you want more freedom, opportunities, and leeway from your coaches, you have to make yourself undeniable. Some players get blessed with great coaches and some don’t, you can still be successful with both, you just have to be good enough to overcome bad/outdated coaching philosophies.

played forward last year but this off season really transformed my handle in hopes of playing guard at 5'10. Although i have doubt about if ill be good at that position. Any tips?

This video is your starting point. I'm a 5'11 PG in my mid twenties in Europe, and everything here is spot on. Follow these principles, and you will be a good PG. Otherwise, just keep working on your skills on your own.

What if we’re down in any quarter with a min-or less, can we still trap and force clock violations? Should we?

Hey if I am doing the perimeter score program and I don’t have time to do the workouts Monday through Thursday because I have team practices and lifts can I split up the workouts. For example can I do some of a perimeter scorer system workout in the morning before practice and the rest after practice and lifting? Thanks bro keep up videos
@VisionDrivenBasketball4 ай бұрын
Absolutely! There is no wrong way to do it, you’ve gotta figure out what will work best for you and then do it. The better you are at doing things despite it not being “perfect” the more successful you will be in pretty much everything. Go for it!
