Good one. Cindy with a radio will remain my back-up cam.

Thank you so much for this honest review. I think you are incredibly generous to TechnoRV & Visonworks. I've never had good experiences with wireless anything, but I was considering this camera system. So, I will install a wired camera system instead of wireless. Thanks again!

Thanks for the comment. I agree that a wired camera system will work better than wireless, but it to will hand draw backs. Since the video came out, VisionWorks has been working with me to offer solutions to resolve the connection issues. More to come in a future video.

Great review. I bought the 7” Visionworks for my 35’ 5th wheel. (2022 Ram 3500). I had the same experience as you with freezing screen. Cody was great helping troubleshoot. I also tried the 12 volt adapter from visionworks but did not solve the problem. I opted not to install the repeater as I didn’t want to install on the roof of my RV. I decided to return the entire setup to TechnoRV. Support from visionworks and technoRV have been great.

Thanks for sharing! I feel better that I was not the only one having issues with this system. Since I posted this video I had a call from Cody and he said that they have a new system coming out that may fix some of the problems we experienced. I am hoping ro get for for a future review.

Great video. Never thought of camera problems like that. I always thought you could believe what you see. Or didn’t see.

Sometimes you need to see it with your own eye or at least that of your spotters!

I'm thinking about this since I plan on running longer trips in summer 2022. Nice review.

If you don’t have a Airstream trailer, this camera system may be a good fit for your RV. Buy it from Techno RV and try it, if it doesn’t work out return it. Just be sure to have a spotter when you back up... just i case. 😁

I just found your video. I have the exact same issue with my visionworks camera. I bought thru my dealer and my experience so far has been one of regret. Camera does not stay connected and you can watch signal go in and out. My rv is only 25ft long so that should not be an issue. Just sent them email so fingers 🤞.

Talk to Cody at VisionWorks (cody@smucker.net) he been very helpful resolving my issues. He should be able to send you a boosted antenna and/or a remote antenna. Currently I am using the boosted antenna on the camera and the remote antenna on the truck. A friend tried adding a remote antenna on the trailer that moved the antenna to the front of the trailer. He been very happy with that setup. I going to try the same in the future. LTE me know how you make out. Good luck

The Voyager camera system that came with our 2020 Globetrotter seems to work fine. Maybe your factory camera system was a lemon?
@ZephyrTravels2 жыл бұрын
Maybe - I think after spending a week on the beach, the salt air and water damaged the case of the camera. There was no paint left on the camera causing it to corrode. These lead to the moisture on the lense.

Mine went from the perfect angle driving it off the lot to facing directly down at the ground within 5 minutes of driving it off the lot... I don't really have time to drive it the30 minutes back to the dealership anytime soon.... All 4 allen screws are Completely tight.....any ideas???
@ZephyrTravels2 ай бұрын
Hi Brett - on each allen screw between the camera and bracket there are nylon washers that allow the camera to move for adjustment even though the screws are tight. If additional tighting does not lock your camera adjustment - try replacing one or two nylon washers with a stainless steel washer. This will provide more friction and allow the camer to better hold adjustment.

I lose signal when I turn and start on my 2021 bronco
@ZephyrTravels Жыл бұрын
Hi Darrin. whit out knowing what you are towing with your Bronco (I am so jealous), here is my best guess based on my experiences. Most likely you beed to install a remote antenna on the camera. Contact the MFg of your review Camera and tell them of the issues you are having and they should send you a remote antenna.

I have a new 2022 Airstream 30RB, and I’m having similar problems with OEM camera. The screen freezes up all the time, and the video is not smooth; very jerky. When backing up there is almost a 2 second lag time, which makes it interesting some times.
@ZephyrTravels2 жыл бұрын
Check with your dealer or Voyager, you may be able to get a remote antenna that you can mount on the middle of the Airstream roof. That should improve the signal to the monitor.

Interesting. I have the furrion camera on the back of my 27FB. Signal strength has always been flawless but I think the image quality is kind of poor. Screen isn’t very bright but also doesn’t dim much so it’s super bright at night. I primarily use it as a rear view camera while driving. The backup lines aren’t adjustable so they’re useless. I just want something that’s the quality of a 10 year old iPhone
@ZephyrTravels2 жыл бұрын
The image quality is great on the VisionWorks camera, but the signal strength makes its almost useless. They do offer a remote antenna that you can place in the middle of your trailer that is supposed to help but the one they sent me did not work at all. After posting this video, I did receive a call from VisionWorks support and they said that there is a improved model coming out this year. I am hopping to get on and test it in the future.

How could I buy a VisionWorks product knowing that I can be walking into those problems? Yes, you are trying to make do with the situation, as I would also, but you are too forgiving in your review.
@ZephyrTravels11 ай бұрын
It a fine line that you need to walk when creating a review of a product the the company is actively working to resolve any issues. Since creating the video Visionworks has completely replace the monitor and camera with newer products. They also sent different antennas to try. I am currently still using the system and it is working better. I guess I need to post a follow up video.
