Beaufort is such a lovely town - and authentically southern! I love the old historic homes in the Point, and scattered elsewhere around town. I also grew up in a small Methodist Church, but not quite as beautiful as WUMC shown here. Btw, when was this filmed? I noticed the old US21 bridge, and I understand that has been replaced. Looking forward to when I can reside in the SC Lowcountry - for 8 months anyway (escape to a lake in NH for the sultry/potential hurricane months). I just love it - and close to your hometown of Savannah, another town I love! Thanks for the video!

Hi Jim, thanks for your lovely comments. I don't blame you at all for escaping to NH during these hot months. Enjoy your time by the lake. It sounds wonderful! This was filmed in June. I'm not sure of the name of the bridge that was replaced but it's the bridge that takes you to Lady's Island. The new bridge is so nice! No more scary moments driving across that old bridge. Lol I would hold my breath every time we drove across. I'm planning a new Beaufort video coming soon about the Water Festival. It's my first time attending. Thanks for watching!

@@bluebellecharm4 Yep, we are talking about the same bridge - which you can gaze at from Waterfront Park. I crossed it many times, and it was not my favorite - either in appearance or safety! I will look for your new video. I also liked the Gullah Festival that Beaufort holds in late May each year.

Hi I was born and raised in Beaufort South Carolina and a few years ago we lost our home to a fire and I miss it badly down there.I’d give anything to be back down there cause where I live now it snows 4-6 months of the year or is just super cold and I mean bone chilling cold here, now I was a teen when we lost our house I’m in my 20’s and I just wanted to say as a Beaufort native? Thanks for the upload and I love Savannah Georgia , I always went shopping there with my mom or dad (really step dad) but I called him dad since I was 4 ) anyways when my mom wasn’t working she was a cop and she immigrated to Beaufort from Scotland she’s a biracial immigrant (that don’t matter either I’m just very proud of my momma and very close to her anyways ) in the 70’s anyways she just fell in love with it and this is why. Beautiful all around I miss it bad! And I miss Savannah as well. And I just subscribed . I’ll subscribe on my other profile. Tell me about the high school thing I had to move right as I became a high schooler lol. That is correct I never fitted in cuz of my autism disorder people thought it was funny to make fun of me.

We have really cold weather going on right now there’s even a freeze warning or frost warning one of the 2. Either way? It still makes me miss home a lot.

I never get tired of watching your videos and am vacation sick for Beaufort. Haven't been there to see dad since Oct 2019 so familiar Bay St and the Waterpark. My dad used to live on Duke St. Pigeon Park is where dad and I Cranberry he brought a book sit under the big trees and I would sing on the crab pier and on a swing

JENNIFER, my favorite shop is on Craven, NEVERMORE BOOKS, beautiful jazz, classical music playing. Get lost with all those books. New ones with the author signing them, then good used ones. Every time I visited daddy, he would drop me off there. THE RAVEN is in front on the shop. AND it's next to Beaufort Historical Society

I had a friend who lived in Beaufort for years! Her Dad passed so she moved to Buda TX opened an art gallery then eventually to New Mexico now involved in rodeos with her man!
