My Grandad stayed on after WW2 in Bayeux to assist with the war graves. God bless him. I have to visit Bayeux one day 🇫🇷 🇬🇧

Thank you for such a wonderful video. We were planning on visiting the city to see the cathedral. I knew about the tapestry but I didn't know about the cemetery and the World War 2 museum I didn't realize that had a Saturday market. We're excited because we're coming on Saturday. Thanks again for your video

I loved Bayeux. Don’t miss this wonderful place near Omaha Beach, which is one of the best places I have ever been. The Bayeux Tapestry was great to see

@@samuelgarza8925 We were there like around March 8-11 or so, 2020 so the beginnings of the pandemic. The streets of Bayeux were totally empty. Right before all restaurants closed up so we got lucky. We saw the tapestry and there was no one there. Same thing at Omaha Beach where my husband’s father fought on D-Day. It was a very memorable trip. Will never forget it. We went on to St. Malo and Mont St Michel, also had those places to ourselves as well. We had to hightail it back to Paris around March 13th when our flight back to the states got canceled. What a time!

An excellent video ! You cleverly show all the different aspects of this famous historic city. And it's well filmed, too. A real pleasure to watch. Congratulations (from Normandy) !!

720p max is not quite a standard past 1990 for 'well filmed', imo. Sam has lots of information very well-documented indeed, but not well-filmed insofar as quality. 4K ought to be a minimum.

The Bayeux Tapestry was copied, with some minor changes by Victorian ladies and is on display in the Reading musum. Mia Hansson did a full sized version too.
