When I watch them walk and run I am always partial to Jacobien. She has such great conformation. A good straight back. I love the conformation of her neck. Very beautiful horse. Now I see her dad, and WOW!!! Now I see why. He is absolutely stunning!!! I'm sure his stud book is full and brings quite a lot of money. And his personality is so calm. @@FriesianHorses I lost my girl just over a year ago. Was sold to me as a yearling and was told she was a Percheron. Well, she wasn't and I'm sure she was a Friesian!!! She went down in her rear legs and it was awful- it appeared her cannon bones just collapsed. All during her life (20y), she had trouble with one rear foot, I figured it was from injury she sustained when she got her hoof stuck in a board fence. As she aged, the swelling was becoming more and more prominent, and the angle of her hooves were adjusted by my farrier so she stood a bit straighter. When I found your channel, I KNEW my girl was a Friesian- the wavy manes, tails- even a star on the head. Yep.... I watch your vids and I miss my girl SO much!!! She was so kind, gentle and loved children. After she passed (euthanized), a few weeks later she came to me in a dream- and I rode her here and there without anything on her head, just got on and she'd take me where I wanted to go. I have faith I'll see her again.

The stallions I worked with were: Onne, Tsjerk, Lucas, Sape, Fabe, Bente, Tije, Piter, Tonke, Winand and maybe more... Stallions are acting like stallions. If they see a mare.... 🙈

I did find this: the total number of sleeping hours of an adult horse corresponds to that of humans. An adult horse sleeps 6 to 9 hours a day. In horses less than 3 years old, this is more. A horse sleeps several times a day, these are only short naps.
