My great grandparents immigrated to the United States from Palermo and Corleone in the late 1800's. I am traveling to Italy in November with my daughter and looking forward to visiting both locations. I know it will be very sentimental for me. How my late mother and my grandparents would have loved to have gone there!

This town became famous after The Godfather II movie wherein Vito which was played by Al Pacino was supposed to have come from entering through the immigration office in New York. So I got to search for a video showing this small town. Thanks to you.

@@kolaking80 Im not sure really. But the scene was a young boy was screened by the immigration officer in Ellis Island and was asked where he came from and he said Corleone.

Ciao Marco! My name is Paul and I actually live in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily for 6 months of the year until I get my Elective Residency visa. Just two days ago I was thinking of driving to Corleone but I ended up going to Erice instead. I tried to go to Corleone last fall but my Google maps directions led into actual farm fields and dirt roads, LOL! I think that I will try again to go to Corleone one day this week.
