Man's narration is that of a construction worker or home inspector, it's a vibe.

In 1925 my grandparents came to this area, camping all the way from Massachusetts to California as there were no motels etc. The road through Az was made of railroad ties strapped together. If another was coming toward them both cars stopped. They all got out of both cars and lifted one of them off of the road. Then the car car drove a little passed it. Again, then they all lifted the one car back onto the road.

I visited this prison in 1956 when I was 12. It did NOT look so well kept. In the prison yard there was a "hole" where a prisoner was put down in the ground for serious offenses. Some died there due to sidewinder snakes! All the signs and the museum were not there and it really wasn't much of a tourist site. Gramma Candy
