The mipig's pig has a lineage of a parent pig born in the United Kingdom, and is about 20 kg in size for an adult, and is characterized by being smaller than a general micro pig. I'm sorry to be a buzzkill but I don't think many pigs exist. I think they're just baby pigs. I think the sad part is is that you think they're gonna save many but they get really really big and too big for a common Japanese apartment or house.

I am sorry to hear that you had to give up your pet Piggy. 🐷 Please take a little comfort in having found a Sanctuary to take your Pig. At least you found a place that took Pigs. All the Sanctuaries near us do NOT accept Pigs from their owners. We adopted a full grown Pig in the Spring from the owner who could not keep the Pig any longer. They said their only options were to kill her or "turn the Pig loose at a park" if they had not found someone willing to take the Pig. And it took 3 months of looking before they found us. My point is that there are lots of Animal Shelters & Rescues for Dogs, Cats & other small animals. It is VERY DIFFICULT to find a new home for a larger more unusual animal such as a Pig or, say, Horse or Ostrich. People should consider that when deciding to adopt a pet. Have a Good Day! 🌺

It's really good that they also give information and support with people learning how to properly look after pigs like these and support people when they get a new pig family member as well as adopting these pigs out to families. Too many businesses wouldn't care about these things but this business seems very responsible and seems to care a lot about the wellbeing of the pigs, which is great to see. Also those pigs are so cute! People have the wrong impression of what pigs are like so hopefully this sort of thing will help improve people's perception of them as they are very loving and intelligent animals.

Hopefully they at least advertise what the size of an adult minipig is. Not everyone expects a 200 lb pet when they hear "micro" or "mini" pig

I went to Japan in May- June 2023 and went to the mipig cafe in Harajuku! We got a private room and our pigs were Nadeshiko and Yamabuki. They were both so cute and loved snuggling on our laps! I would love to go back again if I can!

This is such a unique idea, and the pigs are so cute! I’m really lucky to have a cat cafe in my town in the UK. I actually volunteer there at weekends and I love spending time with the cats at the end of my shifts.

I think it's amazing and wonderful that Japan has animal cafes! Here in the USA where I live (Colorado, north of Denver), I have never heard of one. On TV I have seen a couple Cat Cafes, but only on TV shows. I would love to visit animal cafes.

I own a mini pig. She is approximately 80 lbs and is going on 15 years old. Micro mini pigs unfortunately do not stay small...they will grow...weight varies with each pig...

I love pigs and these are absolutely adorable. As a vegetarian (borderline vegan. I'm having difficulties giving up cheese but I've stopped eating eggs and drinking cows milk (now drink almond drink)), animal lover and animal activist I don't see the pigs, or any other animal, as food.

Pigs are pretty smart animals, and piglets are especially cute. They're a lot less cute when they grow up, though! My uncles used to have pigs on their farms.
