Great advise. I am moving from Alaska to Phoenix in May. A year ago I spent one month in 100° weather overseas with no ac. I love every minute of it. Everyone else with me couldn't handle it and had some form of health problem.

To open the rear hatch on the Cayman: Go to the drivers footwell and remove the cover from the fuse box. There is a part that pulls out and can be used to connect the positive lead from a jump box. Connect the negative to the door or some other good ground, and you will be able to power the system. This might allow you to open both the hatch and the frunk with the electrical switches on the door sill. There is a manual backup for the frunk that involves removing the drivers side front wheel well liner, but I do not think there is a manual method for the rear hatch. Good luck....

Your Buy it not that segment is great. You are so talented and have great insight into all cars, not the Hoovie exotics that none of your listeners can afford nor really want or care about. Most everything has an electronic RPM limiter these days, but if it's a true manual transmission, a bad driver can select the wrong gear and mechanically overdrive the engine by engaging the clutch- Nothing you can do to prevent that.

The same people that wont let you borrow a car when in need are the same ones who think RENTING it out to random people you dont even know, complete strangers who have not a care one for your mechanical sympathy.. IS A GREAT IDEA.... Sure you make "30 good rentals" then ONE REPAIR eats every bit of what you made and then some for parts and labor. 25,000 transmission because someone wanted to rent a dual clutch manual AND NEVER HAS DRIVEN A STICK. 4:20 you dont say?
