Khao Sok National Park is the most popular mainland national park in Thailand, and we could see why! We took a day trip to tour Khao Sok's Lake Cheow Lan. You can take a boat from Ratchaprapha Pier to see some of the most amazing views. The combination of mountains and water makes for a stunning trip with views that don't disappoint.

What gorgeous footage! No way....I didn't realise it was a lake...I thought it was the sea hahaha!! You're right about the best landscapes being with mountains and water! Wow the rock formations are gorgeous! and the views are incredible. I agree, I would have a hard time figuring out where to look because it is all so beautiful. I can't believe the lake was created in 1982! The floating bungalows look like a very relaxing place to hang out. How cool you were able to experience Khao Sok in all kinds of weather. This definitely looks like a worthwhile trip!

AHH every time we watch your video we miss Thailand even more! Wow, that really is a huge and crazy beautiful national park. I don't think I've ever seen turquoise lake water like that. I've definitely seen the Three Friends viewpoint in pictures before, but never knew exactly where it was located. Love the "upside down" grand canyon comparison! Glad you made it to shelter before the rain came, and how nice that you were able to share the tour with other tourists and save some $$$.

You guys have really made the most of being stuck in Thailand, you've seen so much. This is another stunning place the mountains coming straight out of the lake is so dramatic and beautiful - really interesting it's not a natural lake. The queue for the 3 friends is probably so tiny now compared to what it's normally like - probably a really good thing for you - it must feel more unspoiled than normal times.

We stayed in Khao Lak which is quite far away so I’m not sure. I would start with the parks website because you can stay in the park itself. Plus, you only take boat tours by park guides.

Which Boat tour did you use?

The national park organizes all the boat tours, so there are no outside tour providers. We took the two hour tour.
