Rupert Grech pretty much everything he said is awesome to check out. But my favourite place was Uzupis for the bohemian feel, the new town and I loved the old town too! Try Zeppelina (zeppelin cabbage dumplings). if you’re a beer drinker you’ll have a great time because it’s really cheap and really good. There is a cafe right next to the angel statue in Uzupis that makes an incredible coffee. I stayed in the old town and it was perfect and affordable too. If you can get to Trakai which is just a little bit out of the city, do it. Also if you get time Check Kaunas and Klaipeda they are both really nice too! The coolest thing about Vilnius is that the people are really friendly. It’s also a bit rough around the edges so it feels very real and not like you’re going to a theme park.

If you haven't visited it yet, I recommend spending 8 days here: 3 in Vilnius, 0.5 in Trakai, 2.5 in Kaunas and 1-2 in Klaipėda

My grandpas grandparents are from Lithuania, but because that was so many generations ago, he doesn’t know much about the country. My moms parents are both immigrants from Norway so I grew up with Nordic culture a lot, and because I enjoyed learning so much about Norway I also wanted to learn about the rest of my heritage, so I visited Lithuania with my dad. Because I’m from America, I was kind of scared because nobody goes there, and I wanted my plane ticket to be worth the money. Oh boy, it sure was worth the money. I enjoyed Vilnius so much. It is a magical city. Some of the stuff I missed though! I wanted to see all of Lithuania, including the town my 5th cousins live, Kaunas, Klaipeda Nida in just 5 days. It felt kind of rushed at times. But it was a great experience. It feels so modern in some ways like the tech district you mentioned, but then it also feels super old. I just love it! The people were super nice too, I definitely didn’t sense any fakeness, which I often get in the United States. I have trouble keeping up a fake attitude and often I just have a “resting bitch face” and I didn’t feel so uncomfortable for it when I was there lol. I am trying to go there for college for a semester, it’s so much cheaper then United States college which can go up to $45k. But I am kind of scared of the weather. Where I live it does not go under 10 degrees Celsius.. but I am going to try, because I really love the city and country. I will probably try to go to vilniaus dailes akademija because I’m an animation major :D I don’t know which location I will be at. But I really enjoyed all the Lithuania cities ❤️ and I can see them if I want to anyways because it’s not a big country. This video just made me that much more excited to go back

This is amazing, all the scenes are gorgeous and you've put so much information into this video. It gave me goosebumps, and also gave me more reasons to visit Vilnius specifically. I love the way you love the world and your way to share it with us! Ačiū!🇱🇹❤️

I happened to pass one of your videos a second ago, saw your last name, and immediately thought “he’s gotta be Lithuanian” lol I am too, but born in the US, and I so rarely come across Lithuanian names here, seeing one always makes me so excited! :)

Jacob, the footage in this video is out of this world. From the shots way above the city, trees and waters, to the shots of you blending into the sun like an angel coming down the sky, this video is one of your most visually breathtaking ones ever, if not the most. You have inspired me to visit Vilnius and Lithuania in general. When will I do it? That's to be determined, but I hope sooner rather than later, because my interest is now greater than ever, and that's thanks in part to this video. Every time you post a video, I get excited because I've discovered that my true calling in life, is somewhere along the lines of what you do. Europe has a special place in my heart thanks to the high school class trip I went on to Italy, and the Paris and London trip you helped me and my girlfriend go on earlier this year. I feel that it provides fresh new life for me, which is something I need to experience more often on a daily basis. Stay curious as always bro and WHEN I come to Lithuania, do you think you could show me around if you're in the area? Thanks. #WeAreExploriors
