As a mother and a victim myself I can't say I wasn't disappointed hearing this. To forgive him is your choice but to petition to get a child molester into society and willingly exposing more children to him is wild to me and definitely not ok! 💔

Forgiving for your own peace of mind is fine, but petitioning for a sexual abuser to be released earlier is not. He may have changed but there’s a risk of reoffending. And no one should be put at risk of becoming another victim.

Saying it is admirable his wife stuck by him after doing the worst possible thing a father could do to his daughter is INSANE. You lost it girl. You can forgive him without trying to advocate for his release. And it’s insane that your sister would still communicate with him and want her daughter to meet him like if he’s some long lost dad that’s just been vacationing. He’s in prison for the worst thing on earth. This was a horrible take.

Why would anyone in their right mind want to meet a sexual predator? I don’t understand this and Jenni would be heart broken that after all she did to get justice these women are trying to reverse it and this is only happening because Jenni is gone. Sexual predators don’t change. There is no rehabilitation. Period.

1. I wonder if her perspective would change once she has a child of her own. 2. I wonder if Jackie would allow him to be left alone with her children, knowing what he did to chiquis. 3. The fact that it’s been years, and years, and he still hasn’t owned up to his actions and hasn’t asked for forgiveness is insane. Also, when people in prison “change” it’s hard to know if they’ll reoffend considering that they haven’t had that temptation of reoffending in prison. He hasn’t been around a child so how do you really know he’s changed?

I'll SIGN the petition! To get you some real mental help, a life sentence and maybe even a refund from your therapist. I hope others going through this don't see this as "healthy healing" and "God's will" Most victims will tell you the toughest part is having people support you in reporting him/her and making them accountable for their actions and here you are trying to get him out early and exposing more children to him. Your message is definitely damaging. I truly hope you heal from this and maybe inspire others one day that his actions were not ok then and are not ok now and should always be held accountable.

Chiquis I have loved you and your family since I was a young girl. In 2005 I was thrilled to see your mom, Jenny perform at my senior trip at Six Flags. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I've sat with what you shared and need to share my thoughts. You are a strong powerful woman for forgiving your father but deep in my soul I believe that he (individuals like him) will never change. This man took advantage of his little girl for years. It wasn't just one time but went on for years until you were 12 years old. There's no repenting or changing from that man. Attempting to free him seems insensible.

My father molested me from a young age to young teenager . He only got 7 years and did half. My father should have never been out. I went to his place after he died and he had tons of porn and binoculars when there was a school next door. I get you that you want to forgive him. Good. But he did something that was not ok. It’s dangerous and it’s a behavior you can’t really change. How would you like being responsible for other possible victims that he can hurt once he’s out. That’s a huge possibility that you can’t stop him from doing. He can still be that charming groomer that can deceive and charm. I became a mom and no way would I want a molester around my child or any child. He cheated me out of a potential trauma free life, one that he caused. All the BS that I suffered and still do while I am in my 50’s . He robbed my innocence and you would put an innocent child at his disposal for this harm? You can do anything you want for your growth but there is a difference at letting a mentally disturbed man out into society to destroy another child. Questions to ask him, why did he molest you? You were a child, his daughter with a responsibility to love and protect and not use for his disposal. If he can’t and hasn’t yet addressed it, he using faith to Charm and groom his followers into believing a reality they isn’t real. If you say he probably hasn’t addressed it yet because he had his parents…he sure didn’t think of them or your mom or you when he molested you. His thought process is hard wired to only think of himself as he continues to do. You can forgive him but it’s your responsibility to make sure that he never does this to anyone else. You testified against him to make sure he didn’t. It’s your job to make sure to do nothing to break that protection of other children. He’s only 50… about the age my father was molesting me. Seems to me and anybody that since he hasn’t addressed it then he’s still in denial and has not rewired his thought process into making responsible life choices. I wouldn’t give my abuser the privilege of seeing his sexual prize and gloating at how lucky he was at being able to score such a beautiful innocent child. Nope. You don’t need to wish him harm but also no need to be responsible for him. Seems to me that you feel responsible for his well being and incarceration. Not cool. Let his wife who stands by him be that fool, not you.

Forgiveness doesn't change the person who hurt you. If he was willing to hurt you, his own daughter, his own flesh, and blood. he will hurt anyone else without remorse, and it will be your responsibility because you petitioned him out.. As a prison nurse, i see inmates do and say whatever they can to brainwash their loved ones. He will tell you what you want to hear to help him, but people like that are sick in the head forever. Unfortunately, I can't follow you anymore nor support you because I don't want to know what you do. I've been watching you since I love jenny but I just can't anymore. This is disturbing. This is so offensive and disgusting for anyone that is a victim of sexual assault. This lady/Senora almost 40 years old (Chiquis) is asking people to forgive a man that rapped 4 little girls, which includes her mother Jenny Rivera, who he impregnated at age 15 and violently abused her for many years, he also committed incest by forcing himself on his two daughters, and Rosie her aunt, that just a monster that belongs locked up in a cage. I understand Chiquis is also a victim and I am truly sorry that he did terrible things to you but honestly this is not the message you want to send to other victims that you should forgive a monster that takes advantage of children, no one that loves their children does that. Chiquis needs to hire a better therapist and public relations person!!!! Everyone saying this is her story is correct, but to go on the internet and demand others be equally ignorant and disgusting baffles me. No kids, do not forgive your parents if they molest you, that is not okay!!!!!!! And if you have kids do not handed them over to a child predator, terrible message!!!!!!

I agree with you 100%. She is a public figure and a lot of people identify with her story and she should have talked all this with her therapist. It seems from her perspective that survivors have to somehow forgive and help their abusers. Survivors carry so much shame and it shouldn’t be this way. The aggressor should have taken responsibility and apologize to her not her go seeking the apology and saying she will forgive him and go out her way to help him get out. I know Chikis has a good heart and maybe she just doesn’t understand the magnitude of her words and actions in this situation.

I don’t believe she’s fully healed but she craves having a parent. She’s had to be a parent to all her siblings and go through loosing hers. Everyone forgets there’s daddy issues but there’s also issues to having to grow up so fast and not having a childhood. Now she’s an adult and she’s ready to have a relationship and mend bridges. For her own peace of mind. She’s not saying she’ll be close to him. She also mentions how her sister has a relationship with him and maybe that’s what’s leading her to be curious about getting to know him. It’s just a thought she never said she’d do it. I can’t even begin, to each their own but how can you say he’s suffered, consider how he lost his parents, when this is a CONSEQUENCE to what he not only did to you but other people in your family. Aside from that, when you said his wife stood by him all this time and it’s “admirable” 😮 how can you think that a woman who stayed loyal to a chomo admirable!? I really feel like you should’ve really sat with your thoughts & feelings before airing all this out and spoke out of emotion. Lastly, you talk about closing a circle, & wanting kids….would you forgive Emilio for doing what your dad did to you, to your own daughter? Would you feel bad for Emilio if he was to be incarcerated after doing that to your daughter & going through some extra consequences behind bars? I’m a mother to TWO girls, & PERSONALLY, if my husband who is their father was to ever, even slightly do something near or what your “dad” did to you, nothing in this world would heal the tear in my heart & soul, I don’t think there is a forgiveness for that, I would gladly watch him age in prison, and everything else your “dad” has experienced. I think you are yearning a parent, a father and you’re acting out of emotion, of finally being face to face with him and feeling good enough, etc. I can’t say I’m upset with you, because I don’t know you. I will say it hit a few nerves….

I had my own kids, and I would die before I let someone hurt my children. I dont trust my mothers judgment still, and mainly, no one with my children. I'm in my 30s now, and it has been hard for me to be free even in my marriage from the hurt and pain that that situation has caused me. It's fine to forgive, but you can do that from a distance and keep living your life without him in it. Maybe you would understand after you have kids of your own. It’s very understandable that Jenni forgave Juan, because he hurt her (Jenni) However, a mother has a different point of view if it’s their child(ren)! When you give birth, you’ll understand clearer, raising siblings is similar but there a maternal bond that’s more unique.

Chiquis, I'm glad that you are beginning to heal! However, have you thought about if your mom was still here and she was in your life, giving you love, being a present mom...if you had all that would you even consider releasing your dad from prison? Are you simply just missing having a parent figure in your life? Have you ever talked to his daughter to see if he ever did this to her? If he did, would you still forgive him? Would you feel comfortable with him being around your nieces, your own children, or ANY children for that matter? I think you first need to receive the genuine apology that you deserve and visit him several times to see if he truly has changed before you allow him his freedom. Ultimately, it is up to you, but please think long and hard about this before making your final decision.

He did not only molested you but raped you and your aunt. These are the only victims we know of. To forgive him is one thing but to go out your way to help him be set free is mind-boggling. I hope all the people that identified themselves in your story don’t feel as if they have to do the same. And I also, hope your father (child predator) doesn’t hurt anyone else. These are the consequences of his actions. His decisions to violate another human got him incarcerated…not you speaking up. Forgiveness doesn’t mean you have to go out your way to help set free your abuser. This is the wrong message.

I don’t think she doesn’t care however she is putting blame on herself and making excuses as to why her father (child predator) has suffered enough for his crime. She says that her father was a good dad despite him raping her. You can clearly see that she doesn’t see that she was groomed by him. He is not even sorry. He hasn’t admitted to her or apologized. She is seeking that to move forward. I don’t think she realizes the magnitude of her actions by sharing her thoughts and feelings about her father. It is definitely the wrong message to send to all the little girls that identify with her story. She needs to talk to her therapist about that rather than talk to people that have a hard time understanding and accepting those decisions.

Go with an open mind, your more brave than I would ever be that's for sure.... Dont feel bad for his life like having a daughter, he didn't feel bad what he did to you when he continued it for 4 years. Your innocence was taken away. Good luck.

I’m not sure if Chiquis is fully healed from the trauma she went through with her father. Some of the comments she made are those of victims and I don’t think she realizes that. I don’t agree with her, sex offenders should not be walking around freely, and the time he got is what he deserves for the crime he committed. She shouldn’t be justifying him, there is a high chance he will reoffend once released we have seen it over and over in many cases. I wouldn’t want to risk that at all for the safety of others. It is one thing if she wants to speak to him but allowing your children is a big no. Maybe once she is a mother she will change. I think Jacquie wants to believe who he is presenting himself to be to her but I wouldn’t fall for that. Everyone who is in jail repents and says they will change and once released they continue to do what they did. He is exactly where he needs to be, I’m sorry but I don’t have any compassion for offenders who prey on the most vulnerable our children and take so much from them.

I’m a mother and victim too. And to all who are expressing concern and feeling like she’s not thinking straight. She’s not. But she’s doesn’t know that yet. And it’s her evolution. She has the right to figure things out in her own way and time. Pedophiles can’t be cured. And because all pedophiles are narcissistic, he knows they want his love and approval. It’s only natural they’d want to think he’s being authentic. There’s a lot of cognitive dissonance going on here. But we also need to be gentle with her. She’s been through a lot. And we who have been through this already understand. She’ll realize in her own time.

Forgiving is a beautiful thing for peace in our heart. However, we should never expect anyone who hurt us to take accountability or ask for forgiveness. In a perfect world that would be the outcome but I pray that he’s healed and can vocalize and give you what you long for. I can’t judge or understand because I’ve never experienced that. May God give you peace and strength as you take this leap of faith! 🤍

A sex offender has to first admit the wrong doing. And second he should be the one asking for forgiveness. Not you going there for the answers. As a family member of someone sexually abused I could never. I forgave him for my own peace. But my job is not to appease his current wife and family especially him. You have not healed if you’re still contemplating all it. Shut the door and move on. Ask yourself if someone did this to your children are you willing to forgive them and have a relationship with them? Or your nieces? Hell nah!
