You make me appreciate where I live. In Alabama too---4 bdrm in similar neighborhood $365 mo. and the lowest power bills in the country. while I'm always conscious of how cheap it is here, I forget the beauty, you know. The waterfalls and rivers, ponds, creeks, caves--more than just about anywhere in the US. Course there's the heat and bugs. And have we got the churches!!! Love your channel.

Oh my! Leeds, AL. sure looks peaceful & wonderful town to settle down, isn't it? 😊👍 Green tree, beautiful nature, sweet country road, clean, fresh-air & quiet town vibe 🌳🌲🏡 Thanks for sharing, handsome. 😍✌

Generally quiet, shootouts are few and far between. High school built about 5 years ago. Old high school torn down for new middle school. Old middle school given over as a sort of community center for the little neighborhood it's in. Elementary school has had several renovations and rebuilds. Two clinics, no hospital--but they are within 15-25 miles. Several churches. I wish he'd passed the library--it's in a former dry-goods store, with a nice mural on the side. Fast food-Sonic ( across from the elementary school), Chick-fil-a, Whataburger, McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell. More on the Moody side of I-20. Sit-down includes Captain D's, El Cazador, Guadalajara, & Mango Cantina. All of these right off 20. There's also Rusty's Bar-B-Q, Old Smokey's barbecue, China Wok, Golden Wok, Izumi Chen, and Laney's Country Kitchen. For fancy sandwiches and sweet treats, there's the Three Eared Rabbit, across from the library. p.s. forgot Dominos and Papa Murphy's pizzas.

Wow! What a beautiful small town community good vibe😍 I would totally live in that area. You should've just keep it and rent out for future investment. Just let your tenant/renter pay off your house mortgage. Eventually, you will get sick and tired of "The Nomad Van-Lifestyle" and want to settle down in a (Forever😍Home) when you get older.

At the depot, saw the sign mentioning Richmond, Danville and Norfolk. Are they referring to the towns in Virginia? Yes, any bluegrass or folk music fan has heard of John Happy!

10:02 - Buddy done gone make a run for it! Matty! I for one enjoyed this excursion! That's a part of the US I've never seen but I genuinely would like to cruise it someday when I'm down from Canada looking to stay warm! I used to know a Canadian that had a cycling camp down in Ramer, Alabama but I never got down there for a ride. Thanks for sharing this glimpse of America.

Birmingham is just down the road with nightlife at 5 Points South. There's the Oak Mountain Amphitheater for concerts not far away. There's the historic Alabama Theatre where I saw Weird Al, there's the BJCC (convention center) with concerts, etc. (Saw David Copperfield there twice. And R.E.M. once) There are restaurants, bars, and night clubs scattered around. Going the other way, east on I-20, it's about 1 & 1/2 to 2 hours to Atlanta, depending on how you drive and whether or not you get caught.
