Ich find's super, dass der Mathias diese Führung mit Dialekt macht! Ich unterrichte Deutsch an einer amerikansichen Uni und will meinen Studenten immer zeigen, wie vielfältig die Sprache ist. Außerdem ist das ganze ein toller Überblick über die Stadt Salzburg!

Vielen Dank Cari un Mathias. I visited Salzburg and stayed at the Altstadt by the river, awesome city and surroundings. One evening, after a day of trekking, I arrived at the hotel and all I wanted was to hear the Schubert's unfinished symphony (don't know why), and when I got to my room I hear the local orquestra rehearsing this piece. What a wonderful and unforgettable memory.

Ich hab in der Nähe an der Grenze Tschechien retz 9 Jahr gelebt, aber nie besucht Salzburg, schade. Nächstes mal wenn ich komme nach Europa sicher ich würde gerne Salzburg besuchen. Österreich ist am schönstes Land in der Welt. Danke für dieses Episode

About four years ago my family spent two nights in Salzburg in an apartment right on the Getreidegasse near where Mathias was standing. One night a Mozart quartet played for about an hour on the street. We sat in our window and listened. Soooo schön! I would love to go back and spend more time in the Salzburg area.

Es ist ein paar Mal passiert, aber die Leute waren immer sehr nett und antworteten normalerweise in perfektem Englisch.

Wow, ein echt cooler Moment für mich, den Friedhof wieder zu sehen. Als ich ein Salzburg war, ich hatte am 24te Dezember angekommen. Ich wanderte allein durch die Stadt, bis ich, bei einem Unfall, einer kleine Menschenmenge im Friedhof begeben hatte. Es war sehr spät in der Nacht, also ich fragte mich warum so viele Leute in einem Friedhof an diese Stunde sein würde. Ich fragte an einem Mann im Friedhof (das erste Mal, dass ich Deutsch in Österreich gesprochen hatte!), warum so viele Leute hier wären. Er sagte mir, "warte etwas fünf minuten, und du würdest sehen." Etwas fünf Minuten später, eine Gruppe von Trompetern oben auf den Berg begann zu spüren. Er sagte mir, dass es ein Tradition war, jedes Jahr dass zu machen. Was für ein schöner Moment das war, und wie cool die Szene nochmal in diesem Video zu sehen. Danke fürs lesen!

I’m glad that I visited Salzburg back in 2015. Rented a Segway and explored around the town with my Swedish guide. And hired a car and drove around Salzburg region, Großglockner and Berchtesgaden. Austrians are so lucky to live in such a beautiful country! I hope to visit Austria again and try to explore lesser known regions. Servus aus Süd Indien 🙏🏾

Great video! I lived in Salzburg from 1986 to 1989, and worked in the International Youth Hotel (now called the YoHo), but although I used to go into the town center quite frequently, I never really got to see all of the lesser-known tourist areas. I miss Salzburg a lot. I went back once in the 2000s - wish I could visit more often. It's nice to hear that Salzburger accent/dialect again.

@@Jerry113 Yeah, that's right. We did back in the '80s too. 30+ years of "The Sound of Music" every single day! That means the movie has been played well over 10,000 times. Hopefully they've retired that old VHS tape - it was getting a bit worn back in '89 when I last started it up. Hopefully they have a bigger TV now too. :)

Easily my favorite city in Europe. Very beautiful. Lucky for me, I lived near the Chiemsee and getting to Salzburg was just a hop, skip, and a jump. I did laugh at my German in-laws when they expressed real confusion at all the "Sound of Music" bus tours. "Was ist das?"

I cannot recommend Salzburg enough. It is one of the most stunning cities I've ever been. If you go I also recommend you to go to one of the lakes in the surrounding area. Absolutely unreal beauty.
