Visiting San Miniato! | Tannery Visits! Looking for Italian Leather! + White Truffle Season! | Day 2

Come join us as we find and learn more about vegetable-tanned leather specialized in Italy! Tag along and follow us on our adventure into San Miniato, Italy and let's explore the town before getting to the main purpose of our trip.
In this episode, we visit a couple of local tanneries, such as MPG Tannery and Volpi Tannery, to find the leather we're looking for. We'll also share how they tan their leathers and our interview with one of the owners of the tanneries.
TIP: You should not look for leather that is similar to your car's leather seats. It doesn't mean that the leather used in car seats is made of good quality leather.

Yeah, most people just assumed that if they bought a luxury brand leather items, they will get a high quality leather but most luxury brand just completely change the natural characteristics and imperfection that should be embraced. That why i always support small leathercraft brands, since they always chose quality over quantity and not mass produced their items.

Wow Italy looks fabulous! Are you Italian yourself? Our tanneries here in the UK have, sadly, closed down. I think the last one located in Derby (I think) was shut about 3/4 years ago 😢
