My grandpa grew up in Colmar and i never got to enjoy the city with him before he passed, this video made me feel nostalgic (but in a good way)

My grandpa recently passed and this comment made me tear up. Hope you get to visit Colmar and create your own memories to later be shared with your own kids and grandkids (or even just with close friends). The cities and towns our grandparents grew up in are sacred and we'll always have spiritual ties to them, that's how I feel :)

I love this video so much. Howl’s Moving Castle is my favorite Studio Ghibli movie, and seeing the town it was based on makes me so happy. I loved how the little cartoons were added in, and they made me smile so big.

went to colmar this past December for christmas. We met a jolly old man who shared some white wine and a man roasting chestnuts who gave some for me and my friend to try. I remember all of use just laughing and sitting down even though I barely spoke French and they barely spoke English. Just nice people. thank you for reawakening those magical memories :)

i really love the fact that you're also visiting lesser known cities in france ! as a french person i’m happy to see people discover other aspects of my country (especially since imo Paris is really cute but not very "authentic" if that make sense ?) i hope you liked france ! if you come back in the future, i recommend you visit Bretagne, it has very pretty scenery (maybe i’m a bit biased since it's my home region but i promise it's worth visiting haha)
