This is breathtaking! Howl's bedroom is one of the most fascinating sets of the movie and we get to see it for so little time. You managed so well to identify the key elements and then evoke the rest of the wimsical, otherwordly clutter with what you had. The final result just screams Howl and I want to shrink enough to actually enter the tin.

Yes! It's been my favorite Ghibli space since I first saw it, just so many beautiful details (for such a short scene!)... though I get it, animating all of that must have been quite the task. Howl's bedroom is my favorite room in the whole castle. I love how it shows an alchemist's space, chaotic and beautiful at the same time. It also reminds me of an artist's room full of their work and supplies and everything. An organized mess where you can see and find things easily. I think that's why we love it so much. In a way, artists are like alchemists; we transmute good or bad emotions in our work and we create something magical out of it. I love the tin you used for this one, it's a beautiful color and it reminds me of Howl's darker hair, in some lighting his hair looks navy blue. When the stars are out the sky is a royal blue color. Plus, the lighting in the whole movie is amazing. I love all the little details you included. The bookshelf looks so cool. It would be really cool if you could actually make the whole room with two separate tins that can be opened up to the room. Half on one tin and the other half on the other tin. So the bed and stuff can fit. Do you know what I mean?

Ahh well my friend, you are too kind! Believe me, it takes a very long time to come up with ideas- I mentioned in this, but I was thinking about this project for years... that's a lot of time to have ideas pop up haha~

Thank you so much! If I can figure out how to use something recycled, I always will! It's the most fun part of building haha! And of course as always, so happy to hear you could enjoy~

As complicated as this one was, it actually did feel like it required those few years being on my project list of idea development and planning to get it right. So happy you could enjoy and thank you so much for all the nice words of course~

Dang, you CRAZY! Wow, what an undertaking. The project came out so well and I love how you can make things that look both loose and tight at the same time. Not easy, Every one of your videos is so inspiring to me. Does the Black Magic camera look good? YES! Amazing in fact. Does it look better than before? I don't know... to be honest, your cinematography has always been so good that I simply can't tell. It all looks fantastic. I really fell in love with the way that you made the little books, the foam is a perfect solution for the inside and the covers look sweet. Also, keep on rocking that puffy paint! You've got a way with it! : ) The whole segment with you drawing was beautiful and relaxing. I so enjoy watching your videos, D. Wow again.

It was a huge project and yet I barely made a quarter of his room- the amount of beautiful details they packed in there is astounding. So glad to hear the camera at least looks as good as before haha! Honestly you can get great shots out of pretty much any camera, but it's been really fun to work with something new. Even though the books took quite a while, they were so fun to design and put together! Ahhh thank you so much as always, I know I've already said this, but your comments never fail to make me feel motivated and inspired to do better. It really means a lot coming from someone whose videos I enjoy so much in return~

I'm not really a Ghibli person myself. Apart from Kiki's Delivery Service and Arriety, I don't really understand the appeal, I find the movies sort of disjointed and incomprehensible. However, I love seeing the love people have for them, and how it inspires them to make art, and your videos are no exception! I love what you make from them, and I love how they give other people inspiration.

I totally understand how they could not be everyone's cup of tea! Honestly there really isn't any perfect movie that everyone is going to resonate with, but as you said, there truly is such value in anything that can bring you inspiration. Thank you so much for giving the video a watch regardless of the movie resonating with you, it makes me the happiest to hear you could still enjoy~
