1st step is admitting you have a problem in 5 minutes or less.

So where is this forest gonna go? Are you changing your city to a Castle layout like Alex Nunez?

If you ever open your BL store, I’ll take those 1x1 flower plates and the three stem parts. I go through them like oxygen 😂 The solution to PAB addiction for me is having a local LEGO store that only rotates their parts 2x a year. So it’s always the same each time we’re there 🤷 A new Bricks and Minifigs is opening up 10 minutes away in the spring, so we’ll see how long it takes for their bulk tables take to get good 🤞

Hi man why do you. You's so Manny tree stem s and flower plate s do you make. Lots of tree s. Have you got a Lego City.
@KrisNelson15 күн бұрын
@ I build primarily in microscale, and my main display last year had hundreds of trees with those parts. I was ordering those flower plates from BL 1,500 at a time and kept telling myself “this should be enough, for sure this time” 😂

Ahhh...this looks familiar, the old "Cupboard of Shame" purchases. I have a thing for masonry bricks and plates, I could build a full size Lego copy of Stonehenge in the garden with 1x2 masonry bricks.
@tristan71223 күн бұрын
but i mean ngl, masonry brick is pretty cool hahaha i think i got all colours besides yellowish green / spring green, black, nougat (i have light nougat) and Lavender but definitely need larger quantities than what i currently have ....

I always need grill pieces, and I recently purchased a used lot of LEGO with two big PAB cups of pink tiles. Better to have Lego and be crazy than be crazy with no LEGO!

Each time I visit my sister I stop at one of Munichs Lego stores to buy from the PaB wall. And I hardly ever use those pieces. But financialy more dangerous are all the little independent Lego stores I visit whwn traveling. They have so much cool old stuff! In Duisburg I bought a 9V train for € 130 last week plus other stuff (like two goats and 5 sheep). In summed up to €200 - for things I didn't know I wanted before I saw them. I never spend that much for PaB parts!

I have a very similar stash. Not as large though. Very useful stuff. Maybe make a few flat forest backgrounds for some of the Star Wars vehicles. Like something behind the AT-AT.

So you are not the only one with a plant problem. I too have a bunch of plant parts, maybe not as much as you. I don't have a LEGO store close enough to visit weekly. 🤣 I am always looking to add a tree someplace to the CITY. I think that qualifies as a tub of regret. 🤣
@ABrickDreamer4 күн бұрын
I would love to have that problem 😍 Time to build a park in your city
@chefeddie61645 күн бұрын
You should take apart your city and build an epic Oswald Forest, or the forest of the idol where Indy makes his great escape from Bellock, and use some of those parts. Keep building and stay Oswaldified!

Lego buyers anonymous... "Hello my name is Jason, I am a Lego addict..." "HI JASON" I think you need to find a way to add a lot of greenery to your city Jason ,-) IT is vry nice to have, doubt you need to buy more plant pieces for a while.
@BDD_Builds5 күн бұрын
On the bright side, having a "problem" where you are buying too much from the PAB wall is much less expensive than having a problem of buying large sets every time you visit the LEGO store 😂

Good perspective! 😁

Looks like you could almost make 4 trees with all that! (witty comment about trees needing so many parts) What if you built some trees, and then hid them in Alex's Lego city when he's not paying attention? In random places, like on top of buildings, in the water, on top of another tree, wherever. :P

Oh to have such a problem…..my closest Lego PAB Wall is 1 hour drive + 1 hour flight + 30 minute bus trip + 10 minute tram ride and 5 minute walk away 😂🤣😂
@tristan71223 күн бұрын
Damnnn, i build small to medium sized mocs almost everyday (currently at least) and i would have NO idea on how to use even a quarter of the quantities of plant pieces you've got there my friend 😁😂

I would love to have the problem of a pab wall on my way home.. the closest one to me is a 4hr trip one way.

I definitely have this problem with the pick a brick wall. Seems like I can't leave a Lego store without 5 boxes plus.

I have a similar box of regret like that, just not near as many pieces. When I check out the PAB wall (which is rare because out LEGO store is not on my way to anywhere), I'm usually looking for plant pieces. I have plenty of leaves and branches, but we're always low on pieces to make tree trunks. So we have a box of leaves and branches and flowers and while Julie may have given up on her MOC forest, I have ideas for putting those to use in a display later this year.

They say the first step is admitting you have a problem 🙂. Now you need spaaace not just for sets and city, but inventory as well. It's a good problem to have.
@johnpowell24315 күн бұрын
I don't have a Lego store so I can't hit the pab wall but I would go crazy if I did. Instead I buy a lot of multiple kits on sale with the intent of using them for parts in the future. I've got lots of Hogwarts castle sets to use for a moc of Hogwarts and then I have a lot of modulars to moc up a city. I figure if I wait long enough and don't use them they would probably be worth a bit to sell. So it's a win win situation.❤

Are you planning to open a bricklink store?
@dl_bricks5 күн бұрын
I reject the premise. It’s simply impossible to have too many foliage parts.
@bt29hazzard3 күн бұрын
Lol, two or three new builds and those plant parts would be gone. That box is no shame...they are nearly 100% useful parts. I'm 4 hours from the nearest LEGO Store and would love to have access to those. Want to talk about shame? Looks at my bins full of yellow/red/blue/pink/vehicle parts from bulk buys that have almost no use...

You need to steal Alex's idea and build a shed behind your house for your Lego city. You work in banking right? I'm sure you should be able to finance it easily!

I always end up disappointed when I visit a LEGO store, seldom if ever any bricks that I need/would like to have (not counting Legoland Gunzburg).
