My great granduncle was POW on Ballalae Island he helped build airstrip unfortunately he was killed by Japanese.

Good trip Adam. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have got to Ballalae in October, 1980 well before the looters arrived and bulldozers dragged these magnificent wrecks from the safety of the jungle. Sad day for the Solomon Islands!!
