Visiting THE SWITZERLAND of INDIA (Srinagar, Kashmir)

Welcome to the Switzerland of India in this Kashmir Travel Vlog. Yes, we said that! Can you believe there is a place like this in India? Typically with India, you think of the hustle and the bustle, but in northern India in the state of Kashmir and right outside of Srinagar, you will find the most spectacular backdrop of the Himalayas. This is definitely one of the things to do in Kashmir and one of the many places to visit in Kashmir!
We spent the day trekking the mountains of northern India and were just soaking in the views and the senses of being out in the middle of nowhere India. On this Kashmir tour, link to the tour company below, we took a 7 mile round trip trek through Naranag to Domail Marchoi. We met incredible people, learned so many interesting things about Northern India from our kKashmir guide, and took in all the views of mini Switzerland.
What a remarkable day we had and we hope you someday can make it out to Srinagar in Kashmir, India, explore the outdoors, and take in a totally different experience than visiting some of the major cities in the central or southern part of India

Hinduism or any Sanatan Dharma religions [ meaning non Abrahamic religions originating in India : like Hinduism, Buddhism ,Jainism ,Sikhism ] believe in concept of gratitude In terms of gratitude, the cow is seen as a giver of life. The cow provides us with milk, which is a staple food in many parts of India, and it also provides us with manure, which is used as fertilizer. The cow is also seen as a gentle and docile animal, and it is often used as a symbol of peace. Mother feeds baby child but When a child grows up, normally we survive on cow's milk. [in general unless you are lactose intolerant ]. So , in a sense she is regarded as "mother". Although, this concept is fro, Vedic age [Arayans] but it still integral part of Sanatan culture. The institution of motherhood is given a pedestal position according to the philosophy of Sanatana Dharma. In fact, there are five mothers who are revered and worshipped in Hinduism or any Sanatana Dharma: Mother Earth (Bhoomi): She is the giver of all sustenance and is seen as a nurturing mother. Mother Cow (Gau): She is seen as a symbol of purity, peace, and prosperity. Mother Vedas (Veda Mata): She is seen as the source of all knowledge and wisdom. Biological Mother (Audarya Mata): She is the one who gives birth to us and nurtures us in our early years. Divine Mother (Devi): She is seen as the embodiment of all that is divine in the universe. If you do not have full information, please avoid giving any" Gyan" [ slang for preaching] and yes you seemed to be preaching. Indians do not require any preaching. Since you are new to Indian Hindu culture, next thing you will see is "Oh Hindus worship so many Gods, even Cows, so many deities with so many hands etc" But this is not entirely true. In Vedic Satana Dharma , mode of worship can be any form which yhou please, but most important is desitnation [Moksha ] which means to be part of Brahamana- The ultimate reality of universal existence of any living or non liviing being . It is a complex philosophy with so many texts and treaties written thousands of years ago .

Just saw your video clip. I too have returned from Kashmir 3 days back and what I can remember about the region is its beauty and the amazing progress and infrastructure development has been done there in just last 4 years. The Kashmir I had seen in June 2019 was totally different from today. Now I see high quality roads, pavements, lights, bridges, hospitals and markets as well. .... May be that doesn't matter to foreigners but it matters to us Indians. And, now railway link is also going to start very soon as world's highest rail-bridges are ready to link Kashmir with rest of India, which will boost up its economy and help all people. We're eagerly waiting for the same..... But... But I also wish to see Kashmiri Hindus going back to their homes in Kashmir, homes which they had to leave in haste and fear way back in 1986-89 when terrorists (Pakistan supported radical Islamist) had called for Jihad against Hindus and did genocide of them just on basis of being "non-Muslims". Those uprooted unfortunate 450 Thousand Hindus are still living pathetic life of refugees in various parts of India and waiting for justice. None of the killers of more than 30 thousand Hindus was ever convicted as no international Human Right forum ever raised voice for them. They're unique refugees who're living out of Kashmir but still in India. Wish to know about them?..... Watch movie "The Kashmir Files" directed by Vivek Agnihotri. It was not propaganda movie bu a real testimonial of poor unfortunate Hindus.

We don't call it Switzerland of India....its our very own pride Kashmir...Our "Heaven on Earth"... I have visited most of the places in Switzerland and also our Kashmir...and for my liking Switzerland Country side/ villages are indeed good ( Interlaken,Lucerne , Lauterbrunnen...and others..) ...but nothing compared to the breathtakingly beautiful landscape of Kashmir valley.

Kashmir is lot more peaceful now... thanks to the present govt ❤ So development is also picking up its pace now there. Glad you visited the crown of india 🇮🇳 Do visit Leh & Ladakh, states like Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand or North eastern States, if you like adventures of mountain. Leh & Ladakh is the Cold desert area. P.S: The only risk factor is landslide due to rainfall. Otherwise it's a perfect weather to visit such places.

It's Martand Sun temple 🛕 constructed in 8th century ad by Karkota Dynasty. It is demolished by Islamic invaders in 15th century. Hindus of Bharat (india) faced several masscare by Islamic invaders. More than 80 million Hindus were killed by Muslims . And Millions of hindu girls/women were captured by Muslims. These women were used as sex slave and after some time these poor ladies were sold to some others people. They do same things with them. After all Islam is peace ful cult . Last foot note was like ...so close to K2 which is in Pakistan . And that quickly they realized the percentage of muslims in Kashmir . Great observation . Hope other vloggers dont rub it in . Kashmir is Issue is sensitive .its interesting how these observations get lodged in people's head specially in the west . Which can be used to haunt contextually in a certain narrative that may build innocently in the western minds .and ,one hears what one wants to hear. Being an overcausious student of psychology ... it's just a food for thought . However , I loved the vlog .Wonderful.

@@samandnick ya, after watching your vlog, I would like to visit. Because last time when I visited Ladakh too around 7-8 years back because that time Ladakh and J&K were combined state together.

@@samandnick yup in 2019 only J& K , Ladakh became union teretory before that it was one state called Jammu & Kashmir ( J&K) which included both of these union teretory combined . Next time you visit India, do visit Ladakh. That's amazing and beautiful as Kashmir, too. It has the highest moterable road on the earth, around 18000 ft height or even more ( sorry, I forgot the exact number😅 ). Leh airport is also on the highest height of the entire planet.
