My great-grandad accidentally drove his crane into the Thames, very close to Tower Bridge. Luckily he got out in one piece, I hope the crane is still there.

I actually went on this Tower Bridge Experience some time ago (approx 10 years ago) & they didn't have the glass floor installed on the high level walkways across the bridge back then. Looks fantastic that does. This was one of the most enjoyable attractions in London, England that i have ever visited when i visited London for the day on my own traveling from the West Midlands of England where i currently live. I would love to visit it again at some point in the future. Fantastic Attraction. 👍❤

Went here on February 19th 2020. We had a French guy I the lift and he was much more enthusiastic than the one you got. The views are good down the river and of the skyscrapers. The glass floors weren't that intimidating, Spinnaker Tower's one was worse! The engine rooms were fantastic. The sights and smells really took you back in time. A really good attraction worth seeing.

Shaun when this lockdown has been raised I recommend going to the big pit in Wales, you can go down the working miners lift down to the mine plus so much more. Its really good and informative

2 years ago I went to the Tower Bridge Expedition and the Monument. Both offered fantastic views and you get a certificate for climbing the monument with all them stairs

We stayed in London last January overnight at a Youth a hostel across from St. Paul's ...the old choirboys dwelling. It's a lot cheaper than hotels and Air B&B's, especially if you become a member X X X They're clean and there are some truly lovely hostels. Whitby Abbey is another lovely one, you stay in the Abbey house! They have discounts all the time too.

If you haven’t already, the Sky Garden in 20 Fenchurch Street is a great visit. Best part is, it’s free! It’s an indoor garden at the top of the ‘Walkie Talkie’ with great views of the City of London EDIT: I wrote this before you mention wanting to go up it!!

use the underground a lot quicker to get around so long as you only travel between zones 1 & 2 the max you will ever pay is £7 no matter how many times you use it. Also look at London Pass pay 1 price and gets you in lots of attractions

Visitors,stay well clear of the bridge steps that lead down to the southbank.It is disgustingly filthy with an awful stench of stale urine and litter bins that are always overflowing with trash.And this is within yards of a public park with young children playing on the grass,oh and also the Mayors Office.
