Wow! What a view. That must have been a lot of work to bring all the supplies up the mountain to build that house. I love the song “Claire de Lune” at the end of this video. My mother always played that song on the piano for me as a child. She passed away but that song reminds me of her. Thank you for such a beautiful video.

Seeing beautiful films like this brings out two separate emotions from me - one of sadness because I can no longer walk to go and hike locations like this but the second is a deep sense of gratitude. If it wasn’t for you the filmmaker taking the time (the walking back and forth to set up the camera must’ve been exhausting) to document such an amazing thing I couldn’t live vicariously through you! You never know where thanks and appreciation will come from when one does a project such as this, but know your films mean a great deal to many of us! Ciao

Switzerland is truly a magical country, where the scenery is breathtaking and the people are welcoming, hard working, determined and down to earth. This outstanding video illustrates many of these qualities with this talented and fit young man visiting an incredible, well-stocked cabin, perched on the side of a mountain, way above the tree line. Just getting there on foot is quite an accomplishment, but getting the supplies to this remote location to build such a cabin - and then constructing it - must have taken exceptional skill and hard work. Many thanks to Zen Hiking Switzerland for this wonderful video. I just liked and subscribed, and I look forward to viewing your other videos on this channel and those you post in the future.

Those Stripes are Part of the marking System for Trails here in Switzerland: Easy, flat Countryside Hikingtrail have a yellow Rhombus, Middle, along the Mountainridges, up and down the Mountains etc. have the white-red-white Stripes, often also called "Mountaintrail", where good Shoes and sturdy Feet are a must Hard, socalled "Alpinetrail" have white-blue-white Stripes, you'll encounter some light climbing, both rocks and possibly snow/ice as well and need the proper gear.
