@@NeViKble People say that all the time, but with a bit of effort you can get a 2 star ryu +4/+5, more powerful than 3 star ryu +0/+1 and you can get it earlier, perfect for early and mid game, when you can't get as much rares

Zyon marathon is hands down the game to go for, agreed completely, but i honestly think it has a not-so-friendly first world and that might push him away from the game. if he gets past world 1 it's definitely the fangame he should go for

More seasons of Extraordinarily Hard Games would be awesome! A few ideas for contenders: The Adventures of Batman & Robin (Genesis), Batman (NES), and Kid Icarus (NES). Also, if you stretched the concept to include hardest gaming experiences rather than just hardest games to beat, I'd add Crash Bash (PS1) to the list. Getting all 28 platinum relics in that seemingly innocent party game was the hardest thing I've ever done in gaming (and I've beaten Ghosts 'n' Goblins and Super Ghouls 'n' Ghosts from EHG season 1).

Definitely do a season two. Maybe some games on less common systems? Atari, Genesis, Dreamcast, etc. But honestly it doesn't matter what series you do, we love you for you, not for the game you're playing.

Love your hard game series. 3 recommendations. Ecco the Dolphin for Sega- Super hard. Like crazy hard. King of the monsters expert- So fun!!+ Pretty hard Super Ghouls & Ghosts- I know you've done that but let me tell you a secret that game starts for real when you get the armor after the green. The gold armor lets you do crazy magic super attacks that that do even crazier stuff. Even over charge the weapon to blow up like everything. So crazy. Thanks. Cant wait to see what you choose!

Another uncleared expert level I found was just a normal upper and lower world, stretched out as far as they can go horizontally. You are given a Spring. There are only two things in this level: A locked door, and a hidden block with a key. No enemies, no obstacles, no hazards.

Yes please do another series like that! There are so many more platforming games like that with that reputation. Although probably not terribly much more on the nes or snes. Castlevania 3 on the nes, Battletoads in Battlemaniacs on the snes, Ghouls n Ghosts on the genesis, Contra Hard Corps is so good. Some have suggested non-retro like wanna be the guy, I recommend wanna be the boshy but IWBTG is the original. Other good ones on the snes are actraiser 1 & 2, Super R-type, Gradius 3. Other good ones on the nes are Adventure Island 1 & 2, Ninja Gaiden 1 & 2, Blaster Master (only semi-hard but long enough to challenge), and the battletoads-double dragon crossover game which I think you'd looooove.
