Fantastic model built to Bachmanns usual high standard although it is a regular production model & not a Ltd Edition. Great video, by the way.

Going by info in the collectors guide books i have they list this one as being a ltd ed. So may be an error in the guide book perhaps?

Sounds better in the flesh than how the camera has recorded it (i could do with my mates camera & external mic, lol), but certainly a very nice model :-)

Great addition to any layout , they do sound similar to the class 66 .......Peter .

Yes very similar sounding to the 66's. Sadly not my loco as it was only visiting for the weekend, & now gone back home to it's home depot :-(

I have recently fitted a ESU sound chip and ESU expansion plate to a Bachmann 32-570. 57008. This utilises the two unpowered switches on the ESU chip allowing you to have the option of independent rear lights and the spot light at the front/rear, these can be turned on/off when the loco enters a station. The finished project is show stopper but I would advise using the up to date chassis if you undertake this interesting project. PS love the layout

Very nice , the yank engine sound is melodic compared to the sulzer screech of its "donor". I sold my brush 4 with sound simply because my ears were being "sulzerized" -sorry- pulverised by the noise!! This is a fine looking model :.why did Bachmann when retro -designing the 47 to the early sixties not "keep to " the lovely delicate design of windscreen wipers like this instead of the crude horrid over-sized silver ones they put on the two-tone green ones !
@railandmodel8 жыл бұрын
Not to sure with why Bachmann did that on the windscreen wipers? Cost cutting perhaps? I've got a 47 with sound, not too bad but looking at upgrading the speaker & getting sound re-blown by Biffoman. Think it depends who has done the sound recording & speaker type set up, i guess?

an error in the guide possibly as they're readily available and don't come with any certificates or anything. I have 4 of the Freightliner 57's (03,08,10 & 11), a fine model indeed. The only fault I've discovered to date is the weakness in the cardan shafts from the motor to the gear tower,they do shear. They'd be much improved if they were metal instead of plastic.

Possibly an error in the guide book, but making a few enquiries to find out. Not come across the drive shafts breaking before, have come across the odd one that's managed to drop out. Will keep an eye on mine now you mention about them breaking. Maybe a faulty batch of drive shafts perhaps?
