He is loving life with Yvonne and everyone at Stal H. ❤ I still have trouble remembering that Sanne and Reina are mares now, and Ster ones to boot! 💫💫 I still tend to think of them as young fillies, frisking about in the meadow with their mems, and in Sanne's case, causing mem Sjirkje some stressful times! Risey is doing so well under Yvonne's care! If LOVE could cure Wobblers, he would have been rid of it long ago! For now, I'm happy to see that he has a little more control over his hind legs than he did when he first arrived at Stal H. It seems like he is learning how to LIVE with his disability. I'm especially glad to see this, as it's a sign that he may be able to stand with the ladies in the pasture one day. 🤞for next Spring!

It was wonderful to see all of the visitors! So happy that they got to spend time with their “subjects” and show them some love! And Greg - he is such a wonderful supportive herd member, visiting again had to be a thrill for him and Yvonne. Risey looks good, but I do hold my breath sometimes when he takes off running. I know we just passed the second anniversary of Yvonne’s accident - my, how things have changed and a lot has happened. Quite sad in some ways yet also remarkable!!!! Yvonne - you will always be my #1 power woman 🥰.

The Risey and Spidey case are quite literal. It's from the more mature horse, the remaining ones learn their behaviours. Sniffing feces is an olfactory communication that contains social cues including identifying the gender of the horses, whether the mares are in heat, the pecking order etc. A dominant horse may do it more often, I don't think I've seen Spidey interested in it that much until he started frequenting Rising Star.
