What's stopping Rimuru from just taking over everything? If you haven't noticed, Rimuru is going the diplomacy/economics route on this playthrough of civilization. He's a pacifist at heart and ... honestly he doesn't want the hassle of ruling the world. His ultimate goal is to create a nation where he and his friends can live peaceful lives, getting along with their neighbors, and otherwise being able to enjoy the same amenities, luxuries, and high culture that he was able to enjoy in Japan. So, yeah, what's honestly holding back Rimuru from taking over the world is himself, because he doesn't want to have to deal with all that shit.

Another thing that was mentioned in the manga/novel that was missed here, is that when Rimuru boasted to Veldora about naming everyone and having those people evolve immediately after, Veldora explained that the reason that Rimuru didn't die after all that excessive naming is because he was using Veldora's magicules. It isn't a problem now, since Rimuru himself has a lot of magicules, but in the beginning Rimuru was unknowingly very dependent on Veldora. It was because of this excessive magicules use that Veldora thought that his release would take much longer. However as you know, Raphael's increased calculation speed sped up the release greatly.

Via the description given in the episode "Master Chef" changes the taste of the dish but nothing else. If that "food" was poisonus before shion got this skill then it should still be poisonus now shouldn't it?

Since Rimiru has poison resistance he probably can eat it and not realise it’s still poison, since the resistance is op + the taste masking how nasty it is.
