Sw florida....we have tons of rocks, power planter can handle it. Just be careful with the torque. I thend to rest the base of the drill on my inner thigh to protect my wrists because when it hits a rock it's getting under it and will kick it out. The smaller augers will mostly loosen them but 5" and larger take them out completely. 6-8" rocks and chunks of concrete from construction are no match. Best augers ever!

If you are setting up a drip system at your hose bib, you definitely need a backflow preventer, or you can contaminate your house water.

Hi Robbie! Have you tried pure vinegar for your hard water issue on windows? I too have really hard water and vinegar is the only thing that works for me. Spray and let it soak a bit. It might take a few applications depending on the build up. I usually put a paper towel around my faucets and then soak the paper towel. Let it sit a while to help dissolve the minerals then wipe clean. I get sparkly results every time. Works great in my water kettles too.

Do you need to place the tulip bulbs in the refrigerator the vegetable section for a prechill in the fall. Some species tulips should be perennial for you .

Hi Stacey, I’m in CA and I do winter sowing. My home is small and I don’t have room for a grow light setup. I have tried direct sowing, but the rats and other creatures eat my seedlings. Wintersowing is a good solution for me. Give it a try. Laura, Garden Answer and Susan, Susan’s in the Garden have wonderful how-to videos on this. Good luck.
