Hello Robbie, I also have rats on my property and still battle a lot. We do have one trick for you. We have had the most success with live animal traps. The trick we use is kind of like rolling out the red carpet for the rats as long as they don't feel the metal underneath their feet they feel safe and comfortable so we usually put a few paper towels on top of the walkway into the cage.

Hi Robbie. We dealt with mice every year for 20+ years in same house. We finally called in a professional who did some work - identifying and sealing up entry points, etc. It's been 100% successful so far. It's been about 18 months. IMO, has been worth the $$.

🐈🐈🐈Thank you for answering my question, Robbie. I hope Brent gets well soon. I just had my 40 ft tall ficus removed sadly. I loved it sooooooooooo much. I got it as an indoor plant and planted it next to the house when it began losing leaves. It fell over in a wind and I replanted it further out but still close to the patio. It grew from 6 ft to 40 ft in 3 years and then its roots began raising up and showing atop the soil. I found out those roots could break up the patio and get under the house and destroy the plumbing, so everyone said take it out. It was so gorgeous and I miss its shade already but let people know these trees can be so destructive in the end.

Add baking soda 50/50 with peanut butter or cornbread mix and mix it well. Use a paper plate so it can be thrown away. The idea is to trick them into eating the baking soda, they can’t burp and die. Safe for you guys & the dogs … it just needs to stay dry ! Love your channel ❤ Happy New Year

Robbie, Don’t clean up your Alliums. The green you are seeing is normal. Some of mine are coming up on top of the soil, also. That is just something they do. I have them all over my flowerbeds. Look at it this way. They are growing and getting rid of moles and gophers. I am the lady that went into detail about the importance of Alliums. I enjoyed your video today. Your channel is the first one I watch in the morning. I rarely comment or like because I’m watching on tv. Today I happen to be watching while I’m getting an oil change . We are having issues with mice this year. Have you tried peanut butter in the trap? Get a big trap for the rat. We caught one in a mouse trap and it didn’t kill it 😱Your chicken feed maybe drawing them. Can they get in the chicken coop to access the feed? We had bird seed in the garage and that’s what they got into . Now we are trying poison in the attic. Good luck!

Hi Robbie! I have used Tomcat traps. You can get at HD or AMZ. Set the trap with peanut butter. Works every time. In fact my neighbors paid $100’s and I asked their pest control guy and that is exactly what they were doing. Hope Brent is feeling much better by the time you read this.

Hi again - talking about compost. I used to live in Humboldt and my local landscape supply company had a compost program. They had a punch card and for every four (if I remember right) truckloads of compost I dropped off, I got a free 1/2 yard of compost soil. It was awesome - I wish there was something like that here in Redding

Happy New Year! So enjoy your channel. I have a Frigidaire icemaker. I’ve been thru about 3 different brands. The Frigidaire has been the best. I think I left the others on all the time and burned out the motor. Can you tell I really like ice?😂 When I got the Frigidaire, I keep it off all night and turn it on in the am. I bought it in 2022 so I think it helps to turn it off.
