Visual Differences Between BMW Z4 sDrive 35i & 20i

Awesome Z4s! I'm in America and our base model is the Z4 sDrive 28i 4-cylinder 240HP with 8-speed automatic. Plenty enough power for me! The body style didn't change much from 2009-2016. These cars still look fresh and I'm sure they will age well.

@@Krezo200 a little over a year. I have two young kids now so needed a bigger car. Got a Range Rover now. I crashed it into a Range Rover 😂 the Z4 was written off but the RR was fine so i bought a RR. Thing are literal tanks 🤣

So the only actual real visual differences between the two would have been the side indicators and exhaust pipes. The differences shown here are due to modifications. Don't get me wrong I'm not dissing this video, I follow your videos with great interest and think they are great. Does lowering the car change the characteristics of the ride at all? I have a 2016 20i and am thinking of lowering mine. Have you driven your mates car.

bitbiy hi there, thanks for watching really appreciate it! And no problem at all, yeah the main differences are the exhausts and rear bumper and the side indicators. Everything is the same! And from lowering it made the car a little bit sharper to drive but it was more for better looks as the car looks more hunkered down and squatted!

I drive a Infiniti G37 convertible and I'm trading it in for a E89 z4😃 but I realized some of the e89's have different seats as far as the top head rest area some of them look like it's part of the seat/one whole seat where as the z4's in this video have a more modern look around the head rest. Like it looks like a separate piece. Do you know why??? Cause I've been curious about that for a while. Try looking up BMW Z4 e89 seats and you'll see that some have completely different looking seats as far as the top area

Such awesome cars. I'd take the ~180bhp 20i over the ~309bhp 35i any day. I'd rather just mod the 20i for extra hp, especially considering top speeds are so close anyway. They're both beautiful tho. Props!

Hey thanks for commenting! yeah you are right, it's a matter of personal preference. The 20i has a lot of potential when it comes to mods aswell so you could easily get it up to the 35i's power.

Dropping the springs 10mm makes the crappy ride of the M sport version even worse? Not much difference between the LCI model and the non LCI but that is a good thing as the older cars do not look outdated at all and really to bring it up to date you just need to change the side repeaters which I gather is a very easy mod.

It's not a 'fake' badge as it comes with the car, part of the M Sport style package.
