I've had POD 4 2.0 for over 200hrs now. I'm on my 3rd set of straps. Velcro doesn't last very long. The stretchy string that holds the cups together is starting to wear through but hasn't snapped, yet. Fitment pads come off from sweat and dirt weakening the glue. I've used 3M double-sided, outdoor tape instead. Works great. In my case, the braces pull my knee joint apart when sitting. After 4-5 hours of riding, the knee aches. This only happens when sitting. I think the hinge pivot doesn't fit my leg well. Other than that, it's been a great brace, and has saved me numerous times.

I have a set of the Mobius braces. They were given to me, I sent them back to Mobius, and they actually replaced the boa system, X brace and straps, for free, and shipped them back within a week. I’ve been using them for three years now and wouldn’t ride without them ever again. I don’t notice them while riding, and have more confidence in putting a leg out if needed. At 54 years old, my knees can use all the help they can get. My only complaint, certain pant knees get caught in the patella cup/hinge when transitioning from sitting to standing, other than that, I highly recommend them.

Wish I had braces early in my life riding. $1000 for braces, 15k and knees never right again without braces unless your real lucky .

Buy knee braces before you injure you knee...its too late after. Ive had a pair of CTI Edge for more years than i care to remember lol. I wouldn't ride without them,you feel solid from the wast down and able to take bigger hits. I felt stronger,more confident and safer the moment i put them on. Yes you might brake your leg in a crash but its what,6 weeks for bone and a lot longer for ligaments. Mine have finally given up,well the brace hasn't but can't find the pads anymore. So hence im watching reviews. Great review fellas thank you 👍

I personally have Custom CTIs (nothing compares to custom)... but, I think to help with the “5th strap” on the EVS is probably to help migration. I personally use the Anti-migration strap on my CTIs even though they fit me perfectly (obviously) but that tiny little bit of extra hold keeps the brace in the most perfect placement.

Found a great pair of used Asterick knee braces. I'm riding an EUC so knee braces seem important because you can get hit in the leg when learning to ride and the bruising is terrible. I need more shin protection. I'm hoping these things will work for me. Now just need to find a video showing how you adjust/fit them because they are too big and slide down while riding.

Many years ago I tried CTI and it was clear what is best for me. In this video CTI is same like mine but there are some new competitors that might be good. There is something that I do not understand. POD had some years ago same type of patella cup like Leatt has now. It was something that ruined POD. Pod has now better but not far as good is CTI. And in this video guys say same that it feels bad (and it will brake easily too). For me it is hard to understand why to manufacture something that has been tested before and it did not worked ...

@web30363 жыл бұрын
My CTI braces were the worst thing I ever put on my knees, custom formed both knees. After wearing for years and trying to figure out why they fit so poorly I came to the conclusion these are the worst wast of money Ive spent on gear. The CTI braces suck and the fit is horrible and they creep down your leg when riding.
@johnlastname28952 жыл бұрын
I have been trying to get custom cti braces sorted out for the last 3 years, I have had at least 12 yes 12 maybe 14 sets of braces made and they still don't fit as of today, every single brace has been way to small some so small the ossur rep could not even get it on my leg, it has been one of the very worst and most frustrating customer experiences I have ever had and I wouldn't recommend even my worst enemy to get cti braces. I tried dealing with corporate and the northeast ossur rep plus another ossur rep and all of them absolutely refuse to make a cast/mold of my leg or do a 3d scan all the do is use a tape measure and take pictures and every single brace is too small. I have returned all the braces I give up on ever getting a set that fit.

The guy on the left without the cap has no idea what he's talking about. He may be good at riding a bike but he has no idea about the medical aspects. Came across this video while researching knee braces. Better to wear one before you damage that knee. Once damaged the knee will never be the same. Knee pads don't save you from rotational injuries. Braces are your best bet.
@TheExi4503 жыл бұрын
Garbage review, don’t think you rode enough with each of them, dude just goes right to the most expensive as his favorite. After my knee rebuild I was fitted for custom cti braces, and if you actually dirt bike they’re garbage! They make universal braces for all activities, they’re not specific to riding. Mine would ALWAYS slip when riding, I either had to crank the straps down so hard I’d get a raw spot and sometimes bleed above my calf under my knee from that strap needing to be so tight to hold the brace in place with aggressive riding, so extremely uncomfortable. If I strapped comfortably within 5-10 min of riding it would slide down so the hinge was just below my knee and I would only be able to bend my knee a few degrees before everything binded up. Then on my 7th or 8th ride out, where the hinge is bolted/studded to the rigid frame, that whole stud separated pulled out from the frame, the brace literally broke in half, was riding and next thing I knew the brace was flopping around my boot. Why would you not review the Leatte c frame?? It’s their model above the x frame and what I’m really interested in

@greg61622 жыл бұрын
Yeah but a femur is a little more straightforward in term’s of rehabilitation. Your knee’s and back are some of the worst injury’s that usually never heal 100%. Breaking the femur is no picnic for sure but strangely if that force was put on your knee I see that being a lot worse. I’m looking to start riding and being over 40, I definitely feel I’m starting in the right place lmao

Approximately 6 year ago I crashed with my CR125 and broke my knee. I lived without ACL all these years till I jumped off the scaffolding and then broke it again. All the time the knee was unstable and I was very limited in physical activities. I had a knee surgery two months ago, they completely reconstruct the ACL, stitched both my menisci and repaired the cartilage. Now I am rehabilitating. It will take a full year till the ACL will be 100% ready. Broken knee is a long run injury because it is very complex joint and there is probability that it won't be as good as before. I am not saying that broken femur is better, it is nasty injury, but who knows what I am talking about they would rather keep their knees safe next time.
