Elliot, I wanna thank you for making these videos brother. I am a 31yr old male and I’ve been suffering with long covid symptoms for 9mons. I decided to try mega dosing 1,500mg of thiamine and in just 24hrs my energy level was insane. I had so much energy I literally walked around my yard for like 10hrs straight I couldn’t believe it, but today my body crashed sadly. I've been in the medical field for 39 years and I see these signs these symptoms and my patients as well as my co-workers all the time and no one has ever brought up that there could even be a possibility of a deficiency of a vitamin that is the root cause of all of these maladies that my patients are chronically dealing with! Other than what Elliot is bringing to the table I have never heard about it not once not even in college. I heard about the diseases that Elliott is describing as well as the symptoms but no one had ever not in college not in the hospitals nowhere no one ever said "oh yeah looky here we have a vitamin B1 deficiency - let's get after it!! " And I'm wondering now if there's a direct or indirect connection between this deficiency and some form of type 2 diabetes or even type 3 diabetes, and Alzheimer's as well. If it wasn't for my own symptoms that I've been researching here on KZbin I never would have came across this young man AND the solution to what is going on with me. There are so many little things here and there that I was dealing with that I just said okay I guess that's how my body is and moved on and now I'm seeing that I have possibly wet beri beri (which responded in less than 48 hrs!) as well as GI beri beri (which responded in just a few days!) - I would love to go to a doctor and have a discussion about this, but if I had a dollar for every time I went to the doctor for something and they said yeah we hate having to work with you medical professionals, I would have enough money for a damn good supper!

Six months to a year after a thyroid lobectomy for papillary thyroid carcinoma and subsequently becoming hypothyroid (2 major stresses!), I began having what appeared to be a host of unrelated symptoms, including severe fatigue, gastric reflux that did not correlate with stomach contents and persistent muscle cramping in the feet and toes. The cramping lasted for up to 40 minutes at a time, did not respond to efforts to increase electrolytes, and was followed by some numbness. My internist discovered a low plasma thiamine level and recommended 100 mg Thiamine HCl/day. I followed directions, but thanks to your videos, also ordered a bottle of TTFD and have switched to this. I'm happy to report a complete cessation of those terrible cramps--they never returned--and a lessening of both the GERD and the fatigue. Thank goodness I've been on a low carb (ketogenic) diet, or it might have even been worse! Will continue to use this product for at least a year and wish to express my deep gratitude for this education.

Actually removing grains eliminates a cause of thiamine deficiency! I fell asleep in this video last night so im not all sure what it entailed.. But I have learned the cleaner you eat, the less you need. A standard diet required so much because a lot is wasted, or it's crappy ingrediwnts people cant use well..vit d2 vs d3 for example. I need to try this and have been curious since seeing a lady talk about taking b50 supplement on high intensity health podcast.. Maybe her name is sandra. I can find it for you... Do they only want to label you with something where they can push drugs onto you, maybe for the rest of your life, while still always saying they do not even know what causes "MS". I often think they do know but want to make it sound mysterious and complex. But maybe it is just correcting some deficiencies and applying some lifestyle changes. Which I do. A few years back I had some strange symptoms. For about 18 months I had horrible constipation, to the point where I could be in the bathroom for 2 hours at a time. The doctors were useless and didn't help me. Apart from a general malaise, my left eye would sometimes go into a spasm and I had a weird tingling at the ends of my fingers. I would also feel restless and would have horrible phases of intense vomiting. In addition to this I was extremely irritable, and had angular cheilitis quite badly. When I bought a very high-strength B-complex liquid that was particularly high in thiamine, the symptoms eased off within 2 weeks and have never returned! (I have been using it since). I know 100% that there had to had been a deficiency. It cannot be coincidental that things resolved after I started supplementing! One thing I really remember is how all the "fast talk" / small print read out at the end of adverts on the radio used to make me so furious! The only issue I have these days is dry eyes, so I am going to look at potential thiamine dosing to see if this makes a difference there.

Elliot if been listening to you for a long time and now I'm putting your wisdom into action with my mother who was told she has encephalitis even though they never followed up with her last two spinal results instead sent her he to die and I'm not willing to let that happen. Yesterday I was told they r changing her status to dementia and again I'm not accepting that ... I'm starting her on 150 mg of b1 twice a day she has been bed ridden now for 5 mos. She lost a lot of weight in hospital from 100 lbs to currently@ 80lbs if been feeding her non stop and she loves to eat that I'm thankful for. In fact she eats more now than before this happened. Elliot thank you again for ur Wisdom I'm also treating my husband severe diarrhea caused him to lose between 45 lbs in a short amount of time hospital couldn't find a reason for it I'm convinced now it all has to do with the vagus nerve stress and the vitamin b1 deficiency which in his case was brought on by a achalasia diagnosis many years ago. Now in the last several months we walked through his blood pressure dropping and him passing out and again I'm thoroughly convinced this is part of the vagel nerve and vitamin b1 deficiency. Elliot any thoughts I would greatly embrace ... I want to give him potassium as I suggest but not sure bcuz of blood pressure...
