I have listened to Elliot Overton & also Dr Chandler Marrs re megadosing b1- I use benfothiamine & TTFD.. I also am sure to take potassium & magnesium as well as a good b complex with the active forms of b6 & b12. Doing this has been a game changer for severe chronic pain, especially nerve pain. I have listened to many hours of their talks- great info. I also just got the book on Thiamine deficiency written by Dr Marrs & Dr Derrick Lonsdale

I have heard from nurses that mammograms are not good, not effective.. but bcs of the investment the hospitals made into them, they won’t admit it for another decade until the machines are paid off and profit is made. Ugh. I have not nor will I get a mammogram. I have considered thermography and there is a clinic here that does it but the cost is currently beyond me due to chronic tick diseases taking all my extra cash. At some point tho I will save up to get it done

Dr Osborn do you have to take other supplements? I hear it can deplete other b vitamins? I have magnesium if i need to take it thats fine. But wondering about other b vitamins depletion. And how long need to supplement with it on average? Thanks ☺️

Last year, I high dosed B1 and was bed ridden and almost suicidal for 3 weeks. Be very careful if you are deficient and understand that you will feel miserable but that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

I have found that whether its herbs, vitamins or minerals go low and slow then titrate up, and get quality suppliments. I avoid fillers and additives regardless of where I buy. Dr Osborne is great all the way around and Elliot Overtons channel "E.O. Nutrition" also has some good videos on B1 following along Dr Derrick Lonsdales (Cleveland Clinic)work. He has had some results with FM, MS and others using a sulfur containing B1, very interesting stuff.

Out of curiosity, how much did you take that it caused a problem?

If you feel terrible, you need to lower your dose and gradually increase.

@@alireid5874 It's more than that, there is a protocol but Dr O deleted it.

Peter has lost a little muscle from the Texas heat I bet? Me too...happens everg summer.im trying benfotiamine. cause I love red wine a bit too much. I dont feel a difference yet. Wow ...magnesium with B 1. Gonna try that. Mag. Glycinate at 100 mgs doesnt work for me.

You say you love wine, look up Wernicke’s Korsakoff psychosis. I’m taking care of someone that used to love beer a little too much. The damage alcohol does to your brain is amazing! B1 deficiency is very serious, and alcohol is a leading cause!
