Actually, many people thrive on a keto diet. Ketogenesis promotes cognition, decreases anxiety, and ADHD symptoms. It is a game changer. I don't know if staying on a keto diet for more than a couple years has detriment to it but those who try low carb diets plus intermittent fasting have an explosion in their mental abilities, remission from autoimmune diseases, and improved physical functioning. You may not endorse a keto diet, but, respectfully don't lump together the experience of those who didn't thrive on keto with those who have gained incredible benefits from them. That said, your videos are amazing, and thank you for all the hard work you do. :)

Can you also address how a high carb/ corn syrup/sugar /alcohol western diet can enhance and create beri beri and how higher doses of B1 thiamine might be needed to correct it, especially if someone's glutathione and methylation is aleady poor?

5:00 Folic Acid is not B9. It has to be converted to folate first. However, not everyone can do this. It depends on your genetics.
@MedicosisPerfectionalis4 жыл бұрын
B9 is folate, which is slightly different from folic acid. But according to professor Bruce Ames, clinically speaking, the difference is minuscule.
@amineaboutalib4 жыл бұрын
folic acid is the conjugate acid of folate? the only difference is the ph of the environment. You mean tetrahydrofolate? Folate is B9, and tetrahydrofolate is the molecule that is biochemically active

ketosis is different form ketoacidocis. i think ketogenic diet cause ketosis- production of ketone bodies as normal response but not metabolic acidosis.

Ketoacidosis is the condition of having elevated levels of ketoacids in the blood. By the same token, lactic acidosis is the condition of increased lactic acid in the blood (which happens to every person after strenuous exercise by the way).

If keto would actually make people drowsy then then the therapeutic form (eg for epilepsy) would give it as a side effect. in fact it’s the opposite, keto works much better than medicine as they (eg carbamazepine) do make you drowsy. I think you might be confused with the so called keto-flu which is a electrolyte imbalance, most often hyponatremia due to natriuresis.
