@@chuckbert3117, sometimes, when you take a supplement it can reveal another deficiency that you have. And sometimes taking a supplement can cause another deficiency because vitamins do not work in isolation. So, when you took the thiamine, you may have revealed a B12 deficiency or maybe created a B12 deficiency. It is often times recommended that people take a b complex and then take additional B1 with it.

Dear doctor, I have been studied about vitamin B1 (all forms) for months. What I have learned is that there are some true synthetic liposoluble forms of vitamin B1 but benfotiamin is not such a form. It converts to another form, a LIPOPHILIC one, before passing the intestinal wall i.e. before entering the bloodstream. In the blood it further converts into thiamine. We get about four times more thiamine in the blood with benfotiamin than if we take the same amount of a thiamine supplement. For some people it will be enough to take smaller amounts of benfotiamin ( several times during the day is better than just ones a day). But for many people who, because they have consumed too much carbs and sugars, the enzyme that you mentioned has lost its function (more or less), they will need very high concentration of thiamine in the blood. That high concentration will allow thiamine from the blood to enter the cells using an alternative transport system. In time this might help this enzyme to start working better and the cells to start making energy. That is why people who take 600 or 900 mg of benfotiamin start feeling better. There are doctors who treat people with some diseases, for instance with Parkinson's, with huge doses of "ordinary" thiamine, 2,000mg a day or more, together with magnesium and some other B vitamins.

Consider this excellent supplement at a lower dose, especially if you have insomnia issues, and or a fast, high metabolism, perhaps a dose of 100mg to begin with would be better for those who are naturally nervous and or high strung. You might be able to more successfully work up to the higher 300mg dose once you adapt to the lower dose. This special form of B1 is excellent for of thiamine for diabetic neuropathy, as you say. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and for taking the time to do this video. If you have not already done so, I think it would be extremely helpful if you would do a video explaining the difference between NUTRITIONAL Thiamin deficiency and FUNCTIONAL Thiamin deficiency. A person can be functionally deficient without being nutritionally deficient. I do not have a nutritional Thiamin deficiency, but I am functionally deficient. I suffered from debilitating fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for over 25 years. I now take high dose (1000 mg/day) Thiamin HCL (Hydrochloride) and my symptoms are nearly gone, and I'm still continuing to improve. Thiamin has given me my life back! (Benfotiamine may produce the same results, but I opted to take Thiamin HCL because it is water soluble, which seemed a safer choice to me, personally.) In addition to the benefits of Thiamin for diabetics, there are a number of other conditions it has been shown to treat even when there is no nutritional deficiency. When I think about the many people who could possibly have life-changing results like I did, I want to see as much information and education available as possible! I'm pretty sure I never would have heard about the benefits of Thiamin (for certain conditions) if a close relative of mine hadn't been so determined to find a natural treatment for his Parkinson's Disease because the "standard" medications caused him to have life-threatening side effects. While the Thiamin alone isn't able to treat all of the symptoms of his Parkinson's, he has still improved dramatically and has hope he would not have had if he hadn't found out about Thiamin. For anyone who is interested, the studies done by Dr. Antonio Constantini are nothing short of amazing!

Stopped all sugar, all flour, all seed oils and all fructose in 2018. No more insulin shots (I was on long acting and short acting) . No meds of any kind. A1c is 5.6 - natural insulin is much less. And lost over 100 lbs so fsr. I take B1 (just recently started }. I get B12 shot monthly at doctors. I take D3 and magnesium glycinate.

What made you take vitamin D and magnesium supplements?
@roadhousepress2 жыл бұрын
@@concertakapanol1174 i was low on Vit D but besides that I decided to take when Covid started spreading. Magnesium is for my muscles and cellular function. I also take sodium butyrate now and it is a big help to my gut health. It took time and research and advice from my medical nutritionist. I go slow about adding things and am careful about where and how its made.
@concertakapanol11742 жыл бұрын
@@roadhousepress that’s a valid reason for taking vitamin D as it boosts immune system among a myriad of other bodily functions. I didn’t know that sodium butyrate promote gut health. I am consuming more Greek yogurt to gain the benefits of probiotics in the gut. Gut healing is so important to more readily and effectively absorb the nutrients in our diet. I suggest Quercetin too. It is a potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory.

@@concertakapanol1174 yes the s.b. Aids my digestion greatly - been on it for 2 months now and no more loose stools or the opposite. And am better able to absorb nutrients. As you may know we make s.b. - the addition of the supplemented s.b. has had a dramatic benefit for me. I am waiting on quercitin to arrive.

@@roadhousepress awesome! I may have to order some s.b as well since I was on antibiotics a couple months ago. Thank you for the insight on this. I myself will talk with my naturopathic doctor who specializes in herbs and natural remedies. I’ll let you know what information I can obtain.

You can use Nutritional Yeast. It is an inactive yeast. It has different B vitamins and fiber. Make sure it is Nutritional Yeast. I have had people try to sell other types of yeast to me. Make sure it has thiamine B 1 in it. Use only a little at first. All the fiber can cause diarrhea. You can mix it in various foods before eating. Many people claim that it tastes like cheese. I think it has a dairy taste, but I don't think it tastes like cheese. If you put it in cooked food, add it after the food is cooked. Like many vitamins, putting it in food while it is being cooked will kill off the benefits.

@Dee-mc4qg3 жыл бұрын
There are also so many wonderful things about it. Your doctor has weighed the pros and cons before suggesting it. You need to get your B12 checked regularly when on it as it can be deplated when on it, but overall it has many benefits to improving insulin resistance and also weight loss at the right dose. If you are eating very healthy and exercising regularly you could reduce your intake of the medicine if your doctor thinks your diabetes is well managed. Good luck.
