Hi loves! In this birth story, I’ll be sharing everything about my birthing experiences - raw and honest! I’ve had two births: the first one with an epidural, and the second one without - not by choice, haha. I’ll be comparing the two and giving my honest opinion. It’s all the red raspberry leaf tea Vita! 😂That’s why your contractions came strong. I know your dula recommended it to you and I told you about it here as well. Many women swear by it. It prepares the uterus for a birth, I think that’s why we don’t feel the early dilation. I gave birth here in Miami as well in Mount Sinai and the nurses were very encouraging as well, they were telling me, “ your grandma did it and your mom did so you can do it too.” And the young nurses were amazed by how fast the birth was. They said you came here just to get the baby out. The most important is the healthy baby though whatever way he or she was born

I love how real and honest you are! I am so glad you had a healthy baby girl and all went well! There is a lot of funny videos about going #2 during giving birth, its so real and nobody should feel bad about themselves after they just pushed out a human.

You described it so well, the work with the baby. I was more scared of the epidural than giving birth in itself, so I had my 3 babies naturally and it’s the best experience in the world. You’re present and you fought for it. You’re so proud of yourself 😊 and I’m sure it is good for the bonding with your child and avoiding postpartum depression since probably, you released so many good hormones like when you exercise or run a marathon 😅 Anyways, congratulations for your strength and your beautiful baby 😊🌸💗

It is so normal to have a bowel movement when delivering. As the baby's head descents, the pressure of the body descending causes pressure on the rectum. When I worked labor and delivery, we would give enemas upon admission to clean out the colon. That also sped up labor. I remember giving an enema to a newly admitted patient whose labor progressed so rapidly after the enema that she ended up defecating throughout the delivery. The OB wasn't too happy but tough. In this day and age, that is rarely done.

This is genetic. Some women will have zero stretch marks and the abs won’t stay separated so if they don’t take too much weight they will just bounce back very fast.

Thank you for sharing! I wish they did what they do in Russia so you don't have to experience that lol, but I agree, I don't think a man needs to see "everything" either!! I will definitely be like you! Only thing is I think for a first birth, going natural might be so much harder since labor could go on forever.

Yes I don’t like that here in the US they don’t do enema before birth. I am German and my son was born in Germany and I had the enema before and I think it’s do much better.

Honestly the pain you are going through is too big to even feel the baby coming out 😂 I had mine at home, no epidural, and it was amazing. My cousin had her first at the hospital with epidural and second like me at home without epi, and she loved her “natural” birth more than her first
