I’m a retired nurse and you do get used to having to work holidays. When I worked, we got one holiday off between Thanksgiving and New Years Day. You have to figure out what day is most important each year.

As a retired RN I am in agreement with the other nurses comments and even though I had children I still worked nights before Christmas and including to Boxing Day. With 5 kids we needed the extra money working these shifts gave us. But I loved working those nights because there was joy in the atmosphere!

I lost my 27.5 year old daughter 12-24-21 to Metastatic breast cancer. Her identical twin just had her first baby 11-27-23. God's timing is perfect. My daughter had an epidural and was so thankful for it. ❤

@aileenmccarthy8660 she found her own lump due to scratching from a sunburn. After diagnosis she found out she had the BRCA 2 gene , which put her at an increased risk for breast cancer. I would say just don't hesitate to get it checked out.

Our 6th child was born on December 21st. She's turning 10 this year, and so far, her birthday being so close to Christmas has not been an issue. We are very cognizant of keeping her birthday celebration and gifts "equal" to what her siblings have. Family gives separate birthday and Christmas gifts to her. Be encouraged! It can still be very special for the child:)

Yes, my granddaughter’s bd is 12/12 and we have always kept her celebration completely separate from Christmas. She also chose to never have a Christmas themed party. Yesterday we welcomed a new grand niece into the family, so another December baby to celebrate.

I agree with what you said about not being in a good place to make the decision of more kids when you are pregnant or postpartum. I was scheduled to have my tubes tied after my third. I changed my mind right before and so glad I did. 5 years later we welcomed our first daughter into the world. I’m so glad I waited.

I'm expecting my first grandbaby April 6th and we are all so excited! I got to say though, I only had 2 girls they are 21&22 now.. but out of all the phases, them moving out was by far the hardest even harder than the teenage years phase.. it's bitter sweet though..I love seeing them become young adults staying their own families and putting all the things you taught them into use.. I lost a baby in October 1st 2021 after caring it for 12 weeks. The doctors told us it’s heart stopped beating after six weeks so I’d caring it for all those weeks without knowing what was going on😞 It was heartbreaking for us💔 But God blessed us with our rainbow baby🌈🙏🏻 He was born exactly one year after my loss in October 1st 2022❤

My 2 grown kids were 22 months apart and that seemed the best, at about three years the siblings don't have as good of relationship. I have seen it play out over the years several times. You might since you typically run past due date get a New Year's baby. I pray for a safe delivery and complete recovery as well.

I’m due with my third baby on Dec 28th!! I have all the same thoughts about not wanting it to be that close to Christmas but ultimately I know we’ll figure out how to celebrate and make sure this child’s birthday is just special/separate from the holiday. 🎄

My oldest (who was actually a double rainbow baby!) was born on 12/24. We didn’t know his gender. So delivery was like literally being a kid at Christmas knowing you are about to get the greatest gift ever but you don’t know what it is! I feel like delivering at Christmas helped me feel more connected to the actual Christmas story! What we do each year is turn our Christmas tree into a birthday tree and put balloons all over the tree for his birthday.

This was very touching and emotional to me. I lost a baby on Dec 19 2016. I just had my 4th miscarriage on Oct 27th, im thankful to God for the children I have, but after having this miscarriage i can't help but feel we need one more to add to our family, even though we already have 8, it just feels like there is someone missing. Looking forward/hopeful/trusting the Lord for another rainbow baby. Its amazing how the Lord works everything out! So excited for your family and praying for you and baby.💕
