Amazing story Vita !! Your daughter is so beautiful. I have a question, when you were in active labor, how much pain did you feel when baby was “coming out”? Did the epidural help with all the pain or just a bit ? Also did you have Allegra’s name already picked out before you gave birth ?

Honestly 0 pain after epidural😊 We picked it so quickly when I was pregnant .

You probably have lots of viewers who don't live in the States, so I had to clarify some of your comments on how women deliver here and about doctors and insurance companies. Once you are admitted to the hospital for delivery, the OB/GYN on call is your MD. They do not wait at the hospital for you to give birth. At night, they either take call from home and drive in when delivery is near or they sleep at the hospital (most often) bc you are usually one of MANY women they are assisting giving birth. During the day, they are usually seeing patients in their office while you are in labor during office hours and go to hospital when delivery is imminent. In the States, our L&D RN's run the show. They can even deliver you if you do so before the MD arrives on deck (not optimal, but often same bc they have so much experience). The majority of MDs are now employees of hospitals, therefore the hospital sets the cost of the healthcare. Believe me, insurance will not pay more for elective c-sections, so MDs don't get paid more or less. The average American with insurance can still expect to pay out of pocket thousands of dollars bc we are covering all the people in our country who are uninsured. Women do request c-sections bc they want to plan exactly when they are having their baby and/or don't want their vagina blown out of shape, but MDs, as a rule find this dangerous, unnatural and frankly ridiculous. Finally, you do not get strapped down when in labor. I have had multiple children and although I had an IV in case they had to rush me to delivery bc baby was in danger, I could walk, do squats, go to the bathroom, etc. I still enjoyed your story. You are adorable, an excellent mother and Valeria is fortunate to be married to you and vice versa

But it’s important to make sure we are sharing more factual information. By strapped down I meant you are there with tones of IVs, and at home you have more freedom to move and do yoga and shower and all other things. That’s what I meant, that’s obiyas no one will strap you down lol

I wish I had more freedom to move for sure because once I had those IVs on, I was restricted to only laying on my back and that did not feel natural to me. Thank you for sharing your story!!
