@@arabadadson23 It would depend on other factors besides the fibroid. It may be used if there are issues with luteal phase length, ovulation, high prolactin and so on. There would be additional things to consider using for helping the body with the fibroid.

I used Vitex for TTC I’m 24 and weight about 110. I’ve always had fertility issues and wanted to try and get my periods on track and start ovulating. It brought my cycles from 90ish days down to 40-45 days and I ovulated naturally by myself for the first time. I got pregnant on the second cycle but found out this past Friday (Friday the 13th of course 😫) that I had a missed miscarriage at 8.5 weeks the baby had stopped growing at 7 weeks. I am starting Vitex and Ovasital again to try and conceive after the recovery period from my D&C which will happen today. I’m concerned that my hormone imbalances were the cause of the miscarriage even though my doctor doesn’t think so.

Yes. Started 4 months ago. Helped me straight away with PMS. Added just 1 day to my cycle.(from 27 increased to 28 days). But not ovulation as OPK detected. Second cycle was smooth but not Ovulation (OPK tested) And in my Third Cycle I GOT pregnant. OPK detected CD15 , so withing 12 h- 24h it would happened. On CD 15/morning we did it. Only once!!! And Now I am 9 weeks pregnant. I was trying for more that 18 months with no luck and in December 2018 had missed-misscariage . I m 36 years old and started worried about infertility. But yes I ve tryed Vitex in. June. 2019 and few other things you mentioned in old videos to strength the uterus, got multivitamins, iron and vitamin D

It is generally best to try to conceive two days prior to ovulation, the day of ovulation itself, and sometimes the day after ovulation just to be safe.

My husband and I have been TTC for about 9 months now but I have had super irregular cycles for the past 2 years. I would have a period like once every 3 months. I started taking Vitex July 4th of this year, and my period came August 7th, and. I just got it again September 10th! (My last period before the one in August was at the end of May) It definitely regulated my cycle. Hopefully my time for a baby is coming soon!!! Also, my period have usually been very painful with cramps, but this month I didn’t feel any pain at all.

I have used vitex on and off for years! I first used it following my first birth to regulate my cycle again, it helped my concieve when he was 13months, we lost that pregnanycy but vitex helped to re regulate my cycle again and concieve a few months later. I used it again post birth to regulate my cycle and fell pregnant when he was 10months old, we again lost that pregnancy, and am back on vitex to help regulate my hormones and hopefully concieve again very soon. I have found no side effects. When i fell pregnant i continue the vitex for the first 8-12weeks till i see a positive heart beat. I then decrease slowly over a week or two.

I was diagnose with hypothyroidism and amenia 2 years ago. I was on thyroid medication for 6 months, but I didn't go see my doctor for a follow-up when I was done with the prescribed meds. I started eating healthy and move around a little more. I avoided dairy, processed food, and meat. just a week ago I went to my family doc and had some lab work done. I got my lab result back yesterday saying I don't need to take thyroid meds anymore. I suffer from heavy, irregular periods. I am trying to conceive for the last 5 months. I want to give vitex a try. Thank you providing this information regarding Vitex. I watched one of your previous videos and decided to try Vitex earlier this summer but it seemed to really throw my cycle off. Instead of ovulating on my normal CD 11-13 I ovulated on CD 21. During that cycle I never seemed to have reached my peak LH as well. I became extremely nervous with those changes and stopped taking the Vitex. But were those changes normal? Should I have continued?

Carla Jones I explain why this happens to some people in the video. It is normal. It takes about 3 months for things normalize. Wether or not you should continue - It depends on the reason you are using vitex. It is not a one size fits all herb. There could be a different herb that’s a better fit. I’ve been taking Vitex and Maca Root both capsule forms for one month along with prenatal vitamins. Good news is I got pregnant but I suffered a miscarriage at 5 weeks this past Saturday and I had an early miscarriage 1 year and 3 months ago at 6-7 weeks preg. I don't have access to a naturopath as I live in a small third world country . 😓 I have had fairly regular periods but, many symptoms of low progesterone and possible anovulation some cycles, so tried Vitex to see what would happen. I have been taking one 650mg capsule a day for nearly one month . I am 13 months postpartum from my 3rd baby and I am 37 in two weeks. I have had 3 chemical pregnancies in the last year. This month I clearly ovulated based on cm, and saw a clear shift in cm post ovulation which had not happened at all in the past 4-6 months! Today I took a pregnancy test and got a faintly positive result . I read conflicting information online as whether or not to continue it. I read weaning is the best option, but I am concerned if I was dealing with low progesterone (again, no way to test where I live! ) , I may miscarry again when my progesterone production is unsupported if Vitex did help me right away (in my personal experience, my body responds very fast to meds and changes in diet etc.) What might you recommend in my case? Congratulations on your pregnancy! German research shows Vitex can be taken safely through the end of the third month of pregnancy and may help prevent miscarriage. Vitex is still considered safe to take after the third month, but it is thought that it may stimulate lactation too early, so for this reason it is suggested to not continue after the third month of pregnancy. Also, during the third month of pregnancy, the placenta takes over progesterone production, so Vitex most likely won’t be needed. If you are deciding to use Vitex during pregnancy, we suggest you consult with an herbalist, midwife or doctor somehow for guidance and supervision. We wish you the best!

Maca and Vitex are okay while trying to conceive. Vitex has been used for over 2,000 years with no significant side-effects reported, however, some minor and infrequent side-effects (1-2% of users may experience some) have included headaches. We generally suggest Vitex at 900 to 1,000 milligrams daily, I wonder if cutting down the dose may help.

Hey, thank you so much for all these informative videos. Great help! My concern is the dosage. I understand low dose can have an undesired effect. I took tincture but cannot get them at the moment, so I ordered capsules.They are 400mg each. I have been ttc for nearly 5 years - unexplained. But my luteal phase is between 11 and 12, occasionally 13, but its rare. My cycles are roughly 27 days but my foll.phase is 15 days. However I also had 3 chem pg. So I decided to try Vitex just in case my progesterone levels are slightly too weak. So, back to the dosage. Should I take 2 x 400mg daily? Also, these are sold as PMS relief capsules and advised to take one in morning and one in the evening. But I am inclined to take both first thing in the morning. I am 36years old btw. Eating a super amazing diet and taking supplements. No hormonal treatment and no meds. Many thanks for reading!! T x

Thanks for this post. What are the undesirable effects if we use too low of a dosage? I am concerned as the full dosage for me ( 1000 mgs Gaia) makes me anxious and overly stimulated. So the last two days I have just dropped down to one capsule. Do you think this could be detrimental? Hi! I have had 2 previous miscarriages- 1 chemical and 1 missed miscarriage at 6 weeks. I’m currently on Vitex but only 1 capsule a day and am pregnant again- only 4 weeks. After my second miscarriage my doctor went ahead and prescribed me vaginal progesterone to take for whenever I got pregnant again- so I started that immediately. So far my hcg was 181 then went to 371 48hrs later and progesterone was at 21.7. Would you recommend continuing Vitex? Or should I wean down off of it? I’m nervous because of my last 2 miscarriages.

Vitex is fine during menstruation. We are required to suggest weaning off of this herb when a positive pregnancy test is taken unless working with a qualified herbalist, midwife or doctor for further guidance. You simply take less and less each day, over a week's time, until you are no longer taking it.

Vitex can be started on any cycle day. We cannot suggest Vitex while nursing unless you are working with your doctor, certified herbalist or midwife for guidance and monitoring. You could maybe find an herbalist or midwife that would help monitor your vitex usage. But one of the only reasons I could see someone wanting to use vitex into pregnancy is because they had low progesterone and vitex helped. If that is the case you could request your doctor or midwife to monitor your progesterone levels and provide their preferred progesterone support.

It sounds like Vitex worked very well if menstruation started for the first time in two years, that is great! Vitex has been used for over 2,000 years with no significant side-effects reported, however, women with a history of depression taking Vitex for menstrual irregularity may experience an exacerbation of depressive symptoms. I am not sure if this is what you experienced or not. Also, we generally suggest using Vitex all month long even during menstruation. I suppose it will be a personal choice on whether you wish to try it longer or not. We do not want you to feel anxious about it.

In the past two years I've taken vitex and in the beginning it brought my cycle from 60+ days down to 35 days. That is awesome but recently it stopped working and I just stopped taking it for a week and started taking it again a couple of days ago. I started my "period" yesterday. I put that in quotations because I didn't ovulate in this cycle (55 days). Isn't an anovulatory cycle considered to not actually be period? And does this "period" technically start my cycle over? According to Medline Plus, normal prolactin values/levels for nonpregnant women should be less than 25 ng/mL (25 µg/L) (pregnant women should be 80 to 400 ng/mL (80 to 400 µg/L)). While I can not know chances of conception for you, it seems levels are better. That is good! If your cycle is regular with ovulation and a 12-day luteal phase, conception may be possible. Life is great! I took the recommended amount that's printed on the bottle even less. It states to take 2 capsules 2-3 times per day. I took it twice per day. I am on a plant based diet but sometimes skip meals though!

I am not clear on the dosage, but I know that we generally suggest Vitex at 900 to 1,000 milligrams daily. We sometimes find that women go beyond this amount. If you are skipping meals every so often, do be sure that you are consuming enough food, calories and including healthy fats into your diet. :-)
