I've always respected Vito. He's a very straight shooter. His solo on "Wait" is a masterpiece in composition. But regarding the Ozzy gig I have to be honest and say that Brad Gilles was absolutely amazing on "Speak of the Devil." Vito would have been great too but I guess we will never know.

So awesome that Vito is getting the recognition he deserves. I was in the front row at the last While Lion concert in Boston. He played great and after the concert we concidentally connected eyes for a few seconds when he was sitting on the tour bus in the parking lot. His eyes were sad. Would love to see him play again with a great band.

He is a Forever Guitar Hero because of that Band . His White Lion Song " When The Children Cry " is probably the most Relivant Song there is out there today , and it came out in 1987 . Gebe and Paul thought the were so clever, trying to disguise their Jewish ethnicity - as if nobody knew! They pulled that "You're too ethnic BS" with JJ French (Segall) from Twisted Sister, when he tried out for KISS. I've heard that same story a few times actually. Sorry Gene and Paul, but the old Hollywood thing of "Think Yiddish, look British" only works when the Jewish kid doesn't look so obviously Jewish. I know playing with Ozzy would have been the ticket to fame to every guitar player...but...the fact is that every guitar player who was called by Sharon Osbourne but who DID NOT end up playing with Ozzy got famous anyway, and ended up financially better than the guys who DID PLAY with Ozzy, now, that is not an assumption is the sad truth...In example Vitto Bratta, George Lynch, also I know for fact that Kiss paid peanuts to Bruce Kullick's incredible guitar work, the same would have happened to Vitto, so Vitto should never regret not playing with Ozzy, Vitto is one of my greatest guitar heros of all time...

Moore declined the offer because he just formed G-Force....Funny thing is that Glenn Hughes was in G-Force at that time but got sacked because of his heroin addiction. My kiss audition was a little more fictional, but not a bad experience. I was playing with my band at a skeezy bar for half dozen potheads and on our break I realized there was no toilet paper, but was some New York classified ads and low and behold kiss was auditioning to replace ace again. So I clogged up the toilet with newspaper and went straight home to call the number. It might have been Sharon Osborne but sounded like she was from queens. She said get down to the Marriott by 8:00pm my audition was scheduled and good to go. Having two hours I went into action with my kiss swag and platform boots. I put my hair up as high as aquanet would hold and I think some clear glitter polyurethane. Got my own personalized character make up on. Just as my mom showed up tp drive me. I Grabbed my Les mf Paul because I’m not that big of a dumbass and we got there with a half hour to spare. Fortunately because was a long line. That receptionist was horrible at scheduling auditions. Anyway in a twist of an ace brawl broke out in front of me and I cut in line when the cops showed up once I was in the building. Then all I had to do was start a fire in a garbage can and pull the fire alarm like a hero and they let me right in. Gene was great and was really impressed I didn’t go with ace’s make up. Totally cool like if my dad was bassist and moderate Republican. Paul was really nice too he let me get him a cup of coffee and let me have one too. Eric Carr was the best though as he really liked that I was shorter than him. Anyway for 1:21 seconds I rocked their asses off with a montage of kiss alive II and burning up with fever off genes solo record as who wouldn’t? It went over great except I was too short for Gene and Paul, they didn’t think a panda was a good fit and my name at the time too was too ethnic. I was like oh come on Juan Javier Saint Mojito is too ethnic. I was like finger up pendejos you’re moms are too ethnic. Step off ese I’ll jump up and punch that star. Anyway was not bad audition. I just wasn’t a good fit. Vinnie was. Lolol

Uhhhhhhh......Speak of the Devil album was all Sabbath stuff on the album. They cherry picked the Sabbath stuff for the album as a big middle finger to the record company. The actual concert they played everything. You go to KZbin, this app, and see the actual concert. But the more I see about Sharon and Ozzy I am disappointed. They lied and conived about many things they did to great musicians. They didn't know that the internet was coming right around the corner exposing them. I still love the music but Ozzy isn't a hero to me anymore. He's a bully and Sharon is too. And them refusing writing credits to musicians is criminal. They are not good people.
