1 year before he passed away, i had the pleasure of briefly meeting James Gandolfini. What made it that much more awesome is the fact that a few weeks prior to the encounter, i had started watching the entire series for the 3rd or 4th time (One of ,if not my #1 all time fav show). So, I operate a freight elevator, and he was expected to be in the building that day. ..To my surprise "There he is"! , walking right into my elevator. My guess is, he chose the that route to keep a low profile. Obviously, I was in total awe lol. Needless to say , being in the middle of the show intensified how surreal it was....it got even crazier. So there i am, bringing up "Tony" , minding my business trying to be cool, and the voice comes directly at ME. The thing that left me completely mind fucked is that he joked around and made mention of a coat..i remember him saying to me, "..so howabout you, ya wanna leather coat?" Or something to that affect. .anyway the episode i was currently watching was the one with the coat Richie gave Tony that he didn't want. Which he later gave to the maids husband lmao. A few years later, in the same building, I'd meet the actor Joseph Siravo, who played Johnny Soprano. Him, i was able to get a photo with. What a memory! James Gandolfini was really cool in real life, and I will enjoy his work on screen for many years to come. May he rest in peace.🙏

This is one of my top 5 favorite scenes. Pauly is all about killing Vito till Tony mentions something about a dime possibly coming out of his pocket and Chrissy laughing and cracking jokes. Too good.
@pIayingwithmahwii Жыл бұрын
everyone is great in this scene. aside from what u mentioned, Bobby and the "social club," carlo being so fed up after hearing vito was catching he has to throw the cards, plus the "he's gotta GO" line. Sil asking questions as tho it'll change vito's fate at all. patsy's hearty laugh. tony being so frustrated after hearing vito was catching that he had to get up and walk around. and of course paulie taking it as a personal betrayal LOL
@thoughtcrime72903 жыл бұрын
I love how Paulie says: "I feel betrayed!" like somehow he thinks he is the victim here, 😂. Also, love how Paulie challenges Tony but immediately shuts up when Tony gives him "the money argument". Like loosing as much as even a dime is one of Paulie's biggest fears.

2:11 look at how Chris's laugh makes Tony almost smile!!! That really made a big difference for me. As an actor, I find it hard to not laugh when acting with people I know especially ones who make me laugh all the time... So to see Tony almost lose control of his seriousness was awesome!!!
