I have a 2020 Specialized turbo LEVO and switched to the Vittoria Mazza's last year after having issues with the stick butchers eliminators losing traction from wear. Holy mother of gawd are they amazing!!! I picked up the E-bike rated ones and told my father about them who also has the turbo LEVO but the S works version. Complained at first about how much heavier they were than his butcher's HOWEVER once he installed them after leaving Iowa and snowbirding for the year I'm AZ he called me to after visiting the desert where he Rides regularly with several groups he was stunned with the performance of these ties front and back! My father is 76 and STILL Rides aggressively Even for some of my tastes! These tires have bright back a ton of confidence for him in corners, switchbacks, and ESPECIALLY in berms. I TOTALLY recommend Mazza's to EVERYone as they are a game changer!

Great video. You seem much more comfortable and professional. Not that you weren’t before but this was like tv presenter level! Hope that makes sense. Anyway I started looking at Vittoria after you commented on my last video. Agarro rear and Mazza front looks like a nice combo.

Thanks, brother - definitely trying to improve the “rhythm” and tempo of the content. I’ve enjoyed the Mazza front and rear but a rear with less rolling resistance would be a good move too

I just installed the Mazza on the rear of my V1 Ripmo. Your video helped me decide. I was torn between the Mazza and Continental Trail King. I was trying to find the best compromise between price and durability. Also, wanted to try something other than Maxxis.After viewing a video on some negatives about the Trail King it was an easy decision. I had a DHR before. I mounted this tire on a S35 Carbon wheel. Not too much trouble mounting, however it wasn't holding air even with my compressor initially. After removing the valve core and pushing air into it, it seated. But I did a little hack where I stuck my finger in the valve ( to trap the air) while simultaneously screwing the valve core back on - this worked great! Tire held air overnight and am ready to Rock N' Roll!! I did ride the bike around the block to get an idea and noticed right away that it does roll faster and it's obviously not as burly as a Maxxis. I'll see how it does on the trails here in the SF Bay Area and NorCal... Thanks for the thorough review!!

You could try the Agarro in the back. It's kinda in between the XC & DH tires. "Mazzagarro" also kinda sounds cool, like an Italian sports car.

I have a bit of experience with Vittoria over the years, they are a good company! I ran an Agarro/Mazza combo both in a 2.6 on my Ripley. It was probably overkill but really beefed up the performance and my confidence. I have an Agarro on the rear right now on my little bike. This particular agarro is much heavier than its stated weight. I also just put on a Martello on the rear of my big bike paired with an Asegai up front on my enduro bike. It is an alright rear tire. Last year I ran that Syrria on the rear of my little bike. it was a fast tire but failed on a fairly mellow trail cutting a 15mm gash in the center. Vittoria makes great tires. The thing I love about them is they don't get the dreaded knob failure where the knobs start to peel off. For my next tires, I will try the Conti's . They look very interesting, a bit heavier than Vittoria but appear to be doing great things.

Just started running Conti Kryptonal + Xytonal on my ripmo … off to a BAD start … Kryptonal failed after 3rd ride but it was after a hard day of riding at Snowshoe and a hard crash so I ordered another one and giving them one more chance

Great review, thanks for sharing! After getting a sidewall cut on my 2 months old DHR2 EXO+ rear tire, I think I’m going to try this Vittoria. I’ve been on Schwalbe and Specialized tires since 2009 and never had any issues with sidewall cuts. Not for my riding and weight at least. I just can’t believe the Maxxis sidewall is so thin! Cut it descending a green rated gravel fire road. Maxxis is not even cheap…🤦‍♂️

had a 2.6" Agarro in the front, switched to a maxxis dhr 2.6 maxxgrip. Didn't notice at all the increase in grip, did notice how sluggish they were. The sidewalls were stiffer but didn't conform to corners well which meant I would burp the tire in corners with low pressures. Disappointing, after seeing this, maybe I'll just buy the Mazza 2.6 and leave the Agarro in the back, let's see how it goes.

Yea, Mazza front and back felt a lot like DHFs front and back. I liked the grip a lot but then both ended up with weird pitch flats and so I moved on to Continental Kryptotal and Xytonals. Perfect grip combo but both have had weird "maxxis wobble" issues. Didn't take the time to get film footage for a review video on those. I've got my eye on the brand new Schwalbe Albert Radials next as soon as they are availab.e

I ride in North NJ, NY and PA. If you're an aggressive rider and rockey rooted conditions then don't use the Syerra. I put 300 miles on a set and the casing are too thin for heavy trail use even with liners. They are super fast and hold a line well within the first 200 miles. Not good in the wet or loose over hard. After some ware tires loose traction in all conditions when you try to push yourself. I got a ton of mini pinch holes that are hard to seal up even with higher pressures like 30+psi. Tire becomes sketchy over 28psi. My opinion is to use the Syerra on a heavy use XC or a very light trail riding with hero dirt. I am now trying Kenda Hellkat Pro ATC front and AEC rear.

Why would you run the same tire front and rear???
@FoCoFlowShow
@FoCoFlowShow Жыл бұрын
Tread pattern works great as both front and rear... Lots of tires work well as both... e.g. people run DHFs front and back all the time. The Ripmo V2 came specced from Ibis with Assegai front and rear. That said, I think a better combo for the ripmo would be the Mazza front and the Martello rear for slightly less rolling resistance.
