I absolutely concur. My MacBook Pro M1 Pro (16" in my case) is my favourite Mac, and my favourite piece of tech in general, that I've ever owned. Came from a 2013 MacBook Pro 15" which itself was a super reliable machine, but just got too slow for some things - and the difference was astounding. To this day, I never feel like "Jeez I wish this thing was quicker". And the battery continues to get me thru a solid day, which is especially impressive for the bigger 16". All in all, there will have to be a SIGNIFICANT jump in performance to get me to upgrade for now. It's just that good.

I love my 16 inch M1 Pro MacBook, it was a very welcome change after the disappointing releases from 2016-2020. In hindsight, I may have chosen to spend the money on a 2TB 14" rather than a 1TB 16" because the lacking portability is noticeable, but overall I am very pleased and don't see myself upgrading for a long time.

I'm considering the M3 MacBook Air with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD vs. the 2021 M1 Pro MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD. I'm primarily using it for trading, emails, video content consumption, screen recording, and occasional light photo/video editing. Given the tropical climate .They are around the same price under 1300 USD and it is my first MacBook so I'll be keeping it for as long as I can; which do you recommend?

The decision is entirely up to you but here’s my two cents: newer isn’t always better; having fans, plus extra storage may help with “future proofing”, as there’s no upgradability. All the best! :)

MacBook M1 Pro is the much better option. The beautiful screen and good performance is amazing!

Is this a powerful laptop that can handle my daily tasks efficiently? I’m currently using a 3-year-old Surface with an i5 chip running on Windows 11, but it’s struggling to keep up with my workload. My daily tasks involve extensive use of Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and Teams), Zoom and Google Meets, video and audio transcription and editing, designing on Canva etc and managing websites on WordPress. My current Surface can’t multitask anymore, as the frequent freezing and slowdowns are becoming unmanageable. The Surface gets pretty hot very quickly, too.
