Let me start by saying well done mate by far the best video on KZbin for viture Pro Glasses trust me people I watched them all 😅🤣!! Covering the my main topic/reason why I'm looking to buy the viture glasses my beloved steam deck 😁😂 my questions I have for you sir is how long do the glasses and steam deck run for battery wise? And also have u used geforce now with them on the steam deck because the battery would run for a lot longer and also I wondered if you can get the max 120fps on geforce now ultimate? Maybe a next video idea for you 😉🤣 thanks again 👌😁

Wow, thank you so much! I spent a lot of time on this video because I really love these products, and I wanted to do my best to show what I truly think about them. They are hard to explain without just putting them on because they are better than you probably think. As for the battery, using them increases the Steam Deck’s battery time because they use less power than the on-device screen, so that’s a plus. The OLED SD has the best battery life for a handheld PC to date. I have played on GeForce Now, and it’s amazing to max out all the settings and still have an insane amount of battery life. Currently, there is no native app for GeForce Now, but they have made it easy to install a web browser version on the Steam Deck (I have a video showing how to install it-super easy). However, it is limited to 60 FPS as of today. They are making updates all the time, so I’m sure sooner rather than later, we will get the 120 FPS unlock on the Steam Deck. When that happens, the combination of Steam Deck, Viture Pro XR, and GeForce Now is going to be an incredible experience. (If you decide to pick them up, please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY. You’ll get 10% off accessories, and I’ll receive a kickback. Thank you!)

I just bought these during the Amazon Prime day sale and have sent them back. I am shortsighted and these were my first pair of XR glasses. I chose these because of the built in dials to adjust for short sightedness. The problem is, the virtual screens would be sharp but all surrounding "see through" areas would be blurred due to my short sightedness. At no fault of the device, it doesn't work for me as I am unable to see my physical keyboard clearly nor my laptop screen (for extended virtual screen workspace). Having said that, Skywalker app for MacOS is pretty cool, allowing 3 side by side screens in different layouts.

Is 1080 enough? Are pixels noticable? What about reading/coding all day long? Any rye strain? Can you sell your monitors already?
@nophacetech5 ай бұрын
1080p is actually not bad, and the pixels aren’t noticeable. If you were looking at a 100-inch screen in 1080p, it would look bad, but this looks great. Reading and productivity aren’t bad, but let’s just say I’m not selling my 4K OLED screen. I think a 1440p version would be the sweet spot for productivity, but it doesn’t look like anyone has done that yet (other than VR, but goggles on your face suck). I put them on to read through your comment and write my whole answer here. I’m reading and writing all your text and mine, and it’s fine. I’m noticing right away that I’m able to recline and sit in a far more comfortable position, and my neck is happy about that, haha. I’ve used them to work while traveling, and it’s nice for short sessions. I think I don’t use them mostly because they’re just not as sharp as my screen, and the lack of real estate-only being 1080p- isn’t enough for what I want to work on. But I could see someone having a workflow that they would really enjoy using this as their main display. It’s hard to say for you. It might be worth buying them, testing them out for a bit, and if they don’t work out, you can always return them :D. You can get 10% off with my code on all the accessories: JOSHUAGRAY. UPDATE: OK, I’m going to take back a lot of what I just said because I decided to try using their software again. When I launched it, there was an update, and after updating, I think it’s already much better than it was when I quickly tested it last time. Previously, it was so unstable in my video that I basically shut it off and never went back to it. This time, I used it and found it actually kind of phenomenal. You can increase the resolution of your screen because they’re achieving this with software. They’re essentially creating multiple screens all stitched together and using the ultra-wide screen at 1440p, which can go all the way up to 4K ultra-wide. This improvement addresses the issues I mentioned earlier, making it much more suitable as a productivity screen. I need to spend more time with it, but after about 45 minutes of use, I found only a few minor glitches, nowhere near as bad as it was just about a month ago. So, if you want to use this as your main display, it just became a lot more realistic with their software, SpaceWalker. I’m definitely going to make a new video showcasing how much the glasses have improved with the firmware update and how much the software has improved. I take back most of what I said earlier-the app is pretty solid for productivity now. If you do end up getting them, please come back and let me know how they’re working for you in terms of productivity. I’m very interested in hearing other people’s case studies.

@20bowyer8 күн бұрын
@boum5054 yep returned these after a few days. Whilst the tech is ni e, I felt that for my personal use case, it was too much money. It was a very expensive accessory for my Steamdeck. I also struggled with the fact that the screen moved with my head movements. I am aware this can be pinned in certain use cases with the purchase of an additional accessory. However, that meant yet more money on what was already a significant investment for me. Whilst I liked the tech, I felt it was too much money. I also think the screen size i was able to achieve was some way short of the advertised 135 inches. Overall, I may come back to this after XR Glasses tech has moved on, say 12 months from now, and see where it is etc. I may be more tempted then.

It’s really weird that the instruction pamphlet that comes with glasses makes no mention of: double-clicking the short button to switch between controlling brightness and volume, or long pressing the short button to go into 3D mode, or long-pressing the ‘-‘ button to switch off the projected display. I tried long-pressing the ‘+’ button for 120Hz mode, but it didn’t work… so I guess I’ll have to upgrade the firmware.

Yeah it is strange.. I think it's because they're rapidly introducing new firmware updates and iterating on what the functions are going to be ultimately so they're not really concerned with putting it in print yet because it keeps changing. You should absolutely update the firmware. They made a lot of amazing changes including now you can just change the Hertz on your operating system like a regular monitor so no more need to fumble around trying to double click buttons or something you can just change it and now it automatically plugs in and it set to 120 Hz

I'm seriously considering getting these purely for work, would you say that you'd use this more than your external monitor? Just saw the end you were saying the tunnel vision issue for using it on PC
@nophacetech6 ай бұрын
The tunnel vision issue occurs only while using their software or app, which allows you to have three displays floating in space. If you don’t use that app, you get one beautiful big display in front of your face. I have no issues with that, other than it not being perfectly sharp on the edges, but that’s due to my face or eyes. For most people, it works perfectly and can be sharp across the entire screen. Despite this, I used it the other morning as a productivity monitor for about an hour and a half without any issues. I plan on using these as my external monitor for work and gaming whenever I travel or even when I go to a coffee shop. They are perfect for getting some emails, writing, reading, or similar tasks done without distractions, allowing me to focus for an hour or two or three at a coffee shop. I think these are going to be amazing for that. (if you do pick them up please consider using my code: JOSHUAGRAY so i get a kick back and you can get 10% off accessories)

@@nophacetech I know you said "tunnel Vision" for the productivity stuff, but they do work seamlessly (at least on the Mac) if you learn the app hotkeys (shown in the menu - No Manual! ;-) to zoom/center/etc. For example, you can place the virtual monitors farther away a the hotkeys to see all of them quick and easy - you also want to lock the axises you're not using with the hotkeys as well.

Have you tried the XREAL Air 1's? Was wondering how they compare to the Viture Pro's.
@nophacetech5 ай бұрын
I have not but I'm sure they are very comparable. I just like the look of Viture more. Is there anything in particular about the XREAL Air 1's your looking at?
@dumpling83495 ай бұрын
@@nophacetech Thanks for responding. If I do end up getting XR glasses I'll probably go towards the Viture's mainly because XREAL don't ship to Australia officially. Also Viture with the adapter is significantly cheaper than the Air Pro 2's (didn't know the Air 2's even existed since I accidentally scrolled passed it). Air 1's weren't too far behind price wise and lacked the dimming features which I thought was a cool thing. Sorry if you covered this in the video already, just typing this out quickly before heading to bed, but I'm gonna include a few questions below. How's the actual screen size? I see that they market it as a 130" screen but I've seen a lot of comments saying it's more of a "perception" thing and that it's really just however you perceive it against a background. Also how's the battery life? Regardless, thanks for the awesome video and for responding.
@nophacetech5 ай бұрын
they don't have batteries so you just plug in like a monitor and use them forever. The perceived 130 inches screen is very hard to describe because sometimes it does feel like a huge screen like if you're sitting on your couch in your living room, looking out over your room, then it looks like the screen is taking up the entire wall of the room and it looks huge other times it can almost feel like you're holding an iPad super close up to your face so it looks huge but also at the same time it just looks like a screen is really close to your face but it's not annoying like holding an iPad. Super close to your face. This is what I mean by it's hard to describe. It certainly feels like a large screen, but putting how big of a screen it is is definitely a perception because it's not really there. It's kinda like VR in that way where some of these features you just have to put the glasses on and see it for yourself.
@dumpling83495 ай бұрын
@nophacetech Alright, thanks so much. I'll probably end up buying them because of your review. :) Just one last question, when moving your head does it track constantly or have a sort of deadzone you have to hit before it recentres the screen?
@AbhishekSharma-bl7ih6 ай бұрын
Hey mate, nice review. Just a few things to add and a request if you can. You said electrochromic dimming is not being done by anyone else you know of but Xreal Air 2 Pro were doing it before these Viture Pro editions were introduced. Which brings me to my request, can you kindly do a comparison between them. Also if you can let me know if you can walk around with them on the street with say Google maps screen displaying on the corner of the glasses when you attach it to your phone and if the rest of the glasses are clear enough to see your surroundings while doing that. Based on the results of this exercise can you ride a bike trying the same scenario while wearing these glasses. The Xreal beam that is an accessory for the Xreal Air 2 Pro glasses allows you to adjust the screen size and distance to mitigate the tunnel vision effect. Can you please confirm if Viture Pro’s also let you adjust the distance and allow you to adjust screen size. Also if you do the comparison can you please look into color accuracy contrast and sharpness, who offers the best text legibility between them, and generally which one is the better option. Thanks 🙏
@nophacetech6 ай бұрын
Hey mate, that’s a great point. I didn’t realize that the XReal Air 2 Pro had up to 99.9% electrochromic film like the Viture Pro. I’ll definitely look into that. As for your suggestion to compare the two, currently, I don’t have the means to do so as I don’t make any money from this and can’t afford to buy them for review. However, I hope this channel starts generating some revenue soon so I can review more products. Yesterday, I took the Viture Pro glasses to the beach and walked around with them connected to my Google Pixel 8 Pro. I was able to use Google Maps, and it was pretty awesome. You can see everything in front of you clearly, and when you need to check the map, you can just focus on it without any issue. I didn’t even need to put the map in the corner of my display because it was easy to see everything around me with the map floating in front of me. I also watched some video podcasts, which was very cool. You can move them to the corner since you don’t need to watch them constantly, but it’s nice to have the option. I don’t have a bike to test riding with the glasses, but from my walking experience (about a mile), I’d say you could definitely wear these while riding. You can have a podcast or maps on, and still hear everything around you since the audio isn’t covering your ears, making it safer. The map display works well, but I haven’t figured out how to move it just to the corner, which might be a bit annoying for biking. I need to spend more time with the app to see if it allows more customization. Regarding adjusting the screen size and distance, I’m pretty sure the app lets you do that, but I haven’t used it much. I’ll need to give it another try and get back to you. In terms of color accuracy, contrast, and sharpness, it’s hard to compare without having the other glasses on hand. The Viture Pro is extremely bright at 4000 nits, which is important for outdoor use. The glasses use OLED displays by Sony, so the color and sharpness should be good. Reading text on the Viture Pro is easy. I haven’t had issues reading text in the corners, though that might be due to my face shape. Most people will likely get a sharp image corner to corner. Yesterday, I read emails, texts, and websites by putting them in the middle of the screen. I don’t stretch them into the corners, so I can’t say if other displays would be better for text. The current displays are all 1080p. If there were 1440p or 2K glasses, they would be more enticing for productivity. For gaming, 1080p is sufficient, especially since most handheld devices don’t run games at full 1080p. In conclusion, I think Viture and XReal are the top two options, and there’s no huge discrepancy in quality. Their software options are different, so it’s worth checking out which one suits you better. Personally, I prefer the look of the Viture glasses; they are smaller and look like regular sunglasses. When walking around, people wouldn’t notice they’re not just sunglasses unless they got really close. The XReal glasses look bulkier on everyone. I hope this helps! Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to compare them in detail in the future.

I was saying that for me, it’s not because my face shape isn’t sharp in the corners. That said, I actually did work on it the other day for about 2 hours, and as long as I just move the windows away from the corners, it’s fine. For most people, you will get a corner-to-corner sharp image, and then longer work sessions would be amazing. I was just sharing my personal experience. Also, I use them when I travel for work because I’m typically meeting or filming, so I don’t need a computer. But when I get back to the hotel alone with nothing to do, I can play some games before bed and it's super portable.

That’s just common consensus… I, too refuse from day one to buy clunky, bulky goggles. I wanted something discreet and elegant from the onset. I hope the future does away with all bulk and streamlines to a watch and a pair of stylish wireless glasses that contour to the wearer’s face perfectly like designer glasses. You say you want louder speakers but there’s still a better solution. Bone conduction built into the temple of the eyewear.

I am also hesitant to make the purchase for this reason. Without the ability to try them on, there is a huge risk that they won't be suitable and will need to be returned. The size is roughly equivalent to you sitting at a 27-inch viewing distance and looking at a 27-inch screen. It’s not actually 136 inches-they’re deceiving you. I'm so tired of these inaccurate sponsored reviews. I've been researching glasses to determine which ones to purchase and, although I'm in no way an expert, I don't think I can get through a single video (including this one) that doesn't have blatant errors in them.
@nophacetech6 ай бұрын
I want to clarify that this video is not sponsored-I wasn’t paid and didn’t sign any agreements. What specific errors are you referring to? I believe one mistake was stating they were the first to have the full blackout film, which I now realize is incorrect. However, this wasn’t a blatant error. I’m not sure what other errors you’re mentioning or what additional information you’re seeking in the review that isn’t already covered. Feel free to ask any questions-I’m happy to provide further details!
@user-zf7eb1mp4p5 ай бұрын
I completely agree @Duffbeeryahoo. I did find another video where the person clearly stated they were given the glasses and gave their opinions - pros and cons. @nophacetech lying by omission is still lying. You weren't paid and didn't sign any agreements - I'm happy to take your word on that. But were you not given some, if not all of the equipment? You're dancing around the point by specifically stating you weren't paid and didn't sign any agreements. To be clear, you're not the only KZbinr who's done this - I was watching another video about XR glasses and it was similar in trying to hide the fact that the glasses were provided for free. But after seeing the 3rd video in a row - actually just 3 in 4, given the one I mentioned above - I got fed up enough to end up creating an account just to comment. The quality of your production is great, it's just terribly disappointing to know that I can't trust you well enough. Just to be fair, I did sit through the end of the video, and I genuinely think you do love the glasses and your gripes seem legitimately honest, but nothing in the first few minutes made me think your review was going to be trustworthy.
