The great Vivian Richards tamed the hostile Aussie bowlers in their own den. He fogged them as he liked putting on a minimum protective gear, sans a helmet. He was such a great entertainer and had a huge fan following all over the world. We may not again see another batsman as debastating as the great Vivian Richards in any foreseeable future. Those were really great great days of cricket.

Those pants, Bell bottoms it was called i think, back in the 70s, top fashion then. Pascoe sure had guts to after Viv like that. batsmen always have the advantage in a test match. He will just simply duck and let it go, all that effort in vain. Richards too got some guts, playing pull shots at shoulder height without a helmet or arm or chest guard or anything. the only thing he protected was his balls with an abdomen guard, thats all, nothing else. this one time he took a hit from a sri lankan bowler i think, he just shrugged it off. like swatting off a fly which is bothering him, ready to strike sixes in no time. any other person would have called for the physio, stretcher, maybe even an ambulance to treat him. at the very least, would want few mins break to drink water and to put some ice on it. This one match i saw, on a super hot day, Viv took a break for just a few seconds just had a glass of water, that too when he had crossed 200. all this just proves what a Soprano he is, dashing , strong! viv is the most ideal cricketer, followed closely by Imran Khan. Another such stud from the East. Botham from the West and Kapil from India. if someone is planning for surrogacy, they can use sperms from any of these fine individuals to get a perfect offspring, male or female, just top stuff.
