What is interesting is the girl got more attention than Alex and he stood there quiet a lot. I watched this film. It was before he started TLK and he shows a harder side of himself that I believe helped him in getting casted as Uhtred. He is my favorite for sure. 😍😍😍 Alex is such a gentleman. It's very rude to talk in Tagalog in front of a person who only speaks English especially during an interview, they should have provided a translator. Poor guy, he looked so lost trying to catch up with everyone, i guess everyone forgot that he's also part of the interview, even though they're only speaking to Anne, this kind of interview is just plain rude.

Well, we won't expect the reporters to speak in German, English is the language they have in common so they should have used that instead. And he did not respond to a Tagalog question, it might have sounded like it but some of the reporters were trying to speak in English and Anne translated one of the comments and answered the questions in English so he'd be able to understand somehow.

That's what I thought too. I'm a Filipina who have an American husband. My husband doesn't mind that I talk to my friends in Tagalog. But I do my best to talk to in English with Filipina friends whenever I'm with him let's say in a party because I don't want my husband to feel like he's an outcast. I know if let's say I'm in a social setting in a country that I don't speak or understand the language of, that's what I would feel when everyone in front of me talks in a language I can't understand even they are not talking to me.

When i'm with my British cousins my accent changes too. i'm english speaking but live in French speaking Switzerland and speak french too, so i see it in my kids and moreso the kids who have american parents or go to the international schools, which mine didn't. so his accent sounds so familiar for me. also i am from cape town and we speak english and afrikaans so his dane accent is like how some people back home speak;);)

Needing Less He is an ACTUAL citizen of the world and has been since childhood. Adults with diverse language experience in early childhood tend to be accent fluid depending upon where & with whom they are conversing at a given time. Language acquisition in human children has a critical period when it is much easier for us to learn to be multi-lingual & then our brains change at a certain age. It’s amazing.

I admire Alexander Dreymon more now! He caught up with the language actually. No one translated and he knew there was something wrong with the question asked. And I believe it is very rude to speak a foreign language in front of a person who don't understand it. I understand not everyone is proficient in English but maybe that can be a personal interview with the actor and not with actors who cannot speak nor understand the language. How would you feel if he spoke to you in German or French?
