Not a great clue on the Odd one Out, as Starship had more than one hit (We Built This City was just the biggest, for that version of the band) and was the evolution of Jefferson Starship, which evolved from Jefferson Airplane, which paved the way for the Alan Parson's Project, which I think was some kind of hovercraft.

why do women wear their hair so it invades their eyes so they must constantly do the 'flick' to see properly?
@georgielancaster13562 жыл бұрын
It is to do with face shape. If it is to one side, or to both sides, but with forehead showing through, they are trying to lengthen their face. Or thin it, by effect. If it is one solid sheet, like Claudia Winkelman, it is to shorten the face. I have to say, when she was wearing it past her eyes, so she had to be peering through her hair, I genuinely felt rage. I really could not be in the same room as her. It is so insanely vain, ridiculous, and childish I just do not even want to think about it any more. I know I am over the top, but she is apparently a mother. Not an airhead teen. I gather long faces can wear hair cut to chin, but if round faced, you have to have it longer or shorter - but no width - no bouncy curls around ear/cheek level. I know. Boring.

Im an American so im you know, dumb. Is there a bridge between UK and Ireland? Dr Hannah is so beautiful.
@asincerewoman3 ай бұрын
Fellow American here. There is no bridge between Ireland and the UK, as of 2024. One has been proposed, I believe, but I think the issue is cost. Even if it were possible to build a bridge between the two closest parts of the islands (Scotland and Northern Ireland?), it would still be prohibitively expensive. My guess is that the bridge proposal would get more support if it connected Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland and a part of England or even Wales. Just guessing, but generally speaking, any place in the mid or Northern part of the UK and Scotland is considered "less than ideal" when compared to the southern parts of the UK. So still pretty London-centric and its greater suburbs in terms of economic initiatives, though it is changing now.

Too many ads for that which is not your content. Ethically these vids should be ad-free, you're neither producing nor storing the videos you present, after all.
@georgielancaster13562 жыл бұрын
Most of these uploaders have no control of adverts. Get no money. Can't pick where they are placed. Either yt takes the money or it goes to pay royalties to the tv company or to pay for music royalties. The uploaders get so much poo about this - and they usually get nothing. Often, the only money they do get is if you buy them a coffee, if they have a patron account. They are often just enthusiastic fans, who love to share with fellow enthusiasts.

If you use Opera web browser on tablet or PC then you have access to free VPN and advertisement blocker. YT can kiss my butt, I'll support the channels that would otherwise be missing out by buying merch or giving through Patreon.
@georgielancaster13562 жыл бұрын
@@desireelouw3961 yt premium pay far less to animal rescue channels, I'm told. I believe they take 45% of advertising money, as is. A couple of yters who are open about earnings, say that until you get about 50,000 views, you earn almost nothing. From 50,000 onwards, I'm told that earns $500. So $1000 for 100,000 and $10,000 for a million views. But i think that is with people letting adverts play. Some advertisers pay nothing for advert, but pay if viewer visits advertiser's site and some pay if orders are placed and paid for.

@@RealBradMiller I only have a phone. I was warned about free or very cheap VPNs. Many of them reserve the right to collect and sell your info to companies, even when they promise OTHER companies will not get your data. I was told only the more expensive VPNs don't collect your info - because they earn enough from fees.

@sdkeenan27 I believe Private Eye is a satirical magazine, so the OP isn't totally off the mark. It isn't the same as being a comedian, true, but Hislop is supposed to use humor (i.e. satire) critically to discuss politics and current events. You both are correct!
