@@RobertHartleyGM People say Mercer is the best DM in the world, and while I agree to an extent, I find myself wanting to watch your games more, you make it much more fun I think which is the hardest part. You're both different but I could not say you or him is better, you two are the absolute two best DMs I have seen so far. I think you've got this cleverness about you where sometimes I'm like "did he actually make this up? He could write a fantasy novel" the characters have depth to them, you can enter into the characters mind and soul and become them, I'm convinced that you ARE that character with alll the emotional depth and baggage they have. You're very patient and kind to your players while still being challenging, you command respect in the way a good leader does. Plus you're hilarious and I don’t laugh at almost ANYTHING as much as I do with these games. The players are awesome too and are absolutely the funniest players I've ever seen. My favorite dnd channel by far :)

I had the same feeling so I went back and checked, and right after they kill Bavlorna (episode 77) Rob does mention his previous intention to make her a reoccurring villain, then says "But no, she's dead! For now..." Followed by suspicion and joking laughter and Rob quickly and casually moving on as though nothing was said. And we all know how that tends to turn out...

18:34 in my personaly opinion this is better than Critical Role, mainly cause you're as chaotic as a normal D&D group is, Critical Role is very much the peak of D&D but it's sometimes too good, this has the great acting the chaotic nature, the torture of the DM trying to keep his chaotic children in check, but still it's got really good moments and the way you all embody the characters and each of them makes decisions that are super believable with their established character, despite the decisions not necessarily being good.

I just started watching this maybe like 2 or 3 months ago, I got completely caught up in about 3 weeks. This has been my favorite thing on KZbin since! But probably my favorite thing about it has to be the intro for the last few, mainly the shot of everyone else standing in front of Rob. Keep up the amazing work yall do!!

This has to be one of the funniest episodes of your guys' campaign so far. It was equally impressing and hilarious how you solved delivering a BIIG story beat tying together so many episodes and moments in a few minutes. Especially during the greenscreen recreations I was laughing uncontrollably. I am loving this so much and I am increasingly stoked for the next episode with each one I watch. This episode perfectly captures why NPC D&D is my favorite D&D show on the internet: utter hilarity and chaos, managed impeccably by a brilliant DM who channels it into a compelling story with consequences both large and small. Absolute genius. I'm so excited for more.

I love how Rob keeps the story open to go in multiple directions at any point in time. Suddenly killing the third Hag and potentially winning Laethil as an ally against a (now probably unsaveable, but dangerously overpowered) demon-lord-boss is a viable option.

This might be the best episode I've ever seen: great storytelling and new plot twists and so many hilarious moments my sides are hurting. God, I love this series! Thanks Rob and your 4 teenage boys (who are apparently late 30s, nearly 40, as am I)

I have watched every D&D episode and enjoyed them immensely! I must say however, this episode takes the cake! I laughed so hard throughout, I was in tears. Had to watch it a second time. Absolutely phenomenal job by all! You just set the bar higher than I thought possible!

Yes, but i don't remember him cutting a chunk off Baradun, unless he advanced it to the point of only needing a strand of hair or something. .... Or he brought back the Hags using all the helpful little Hag chuncklets the boys splattered across the forest.
