But sometimes when you're playing at that speed, you really have to just memorize everything because there's no time to read notes. That and the number of times she must have practiced.

I always see this take in the comments under mainstream popular classic music videos, and it honestly unreasonably irks me. Often, even beginner musicians are expected to memorize their pieces for performances. Go to any piano recital or violin performance and you will recognize this. It is completely normal, just like how you are supposed to drive a car or a plane without having the manual in front of you at all times.

@@Kooooooooooootz That's the whole part... you can't just get rid of someone breathing just like that. Noise gates and dynamic compression could be used but it would make the reverberations and dynamic range suffer horribly. Classical pieces are performed by humans, that's the whole part of listening to the piece, it's like you are there. As for discounting the skilled people who set up the Decca tree for this and high quality equipment for you and for FREE none the less, I think you should give them more credit...

It is said, that Vivaldi composed more than 400 concerts and 40 operas and that finally, he died poor and his music was nearly forgotten. Being poor was part of Vivaldi's job description, he was a Catholic priest after all. But his music was neglected after his death only because the preferences of the audience had changed (Baroque period had ended, Classical had begun).

This, is 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝙀𝙁𝙄𝙉𝙄𝙏𝙄𝙑𝙀 performance of "Summer" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons! Cynthia Freivogels’ musical direction is masterful to say the least ( as Salieri might say "as if God Himself .." was directing her" ! } Her performance as the soloist is unequivocally exemplary , leveraging an outstanding performance by the whole orchestra ; all of which is easily discerned in vivo by the superb quality of sound & vision. This, without exception, is the yardstick by which ALL performances of this concerto should be measured.

At least a million times? Let's assume that you have rewatched this exactly 1 million times and the length of this music video is 11 minutes 36 seconds which is 696 seconds. A million times would imply that you have spent 696,000,000 seconds on this video. One of the best pieces of music I've ever heard. My thought is that Vivaldi himself would have burst into tears upon hearing your renditions of this and Winter.

For me personally, I love it because it’s probably close to the version that Vivaldi heard in his head while composing it.
