The biggest weakness of vivec is that he lacks meaningful magic buffs like regeneration, resistance, immunity, and reflect, alongside not having a weapon and the strongest bloodmoon bosses having some high reflect makes his magic spells his downfall. If given the same resistances and such as say almalexia he holds up much better.

There might be an in-game reason for why Vivec seems weaker than Almalexia. For instance, cleansing the ancestral site under Mournhold might've enabled Lexie to steal the power of the souls trapped there. Getting Barilzar's Mazed Band and plundering the Clockwork city might've uncovered prototypes of Sotha Sil's research. (Fortunately he hid the Mechanical Heart and its reflections of Kagrenac's tools very well.)

He's a good source for Glass armor in the early game if you can beat him, though I personally prefer buying Ring of Aversion from one of the traders in Caldera, then doing some shopping in Ghostgate B)

How the hell is Udyrfrykte level 11, but has 1000 health?

It's likely that the developers manually adjusted Udyrfrykte's (and other creature's) stats to be what they are instead of having them be determined by a predefined formula, as is the case with many (most?) NPCs. This would explain why his stats are not what one would expect from such a low level creature. I don't know if there's any particular reason for Udyrfrykte to have such a low level, but a funny consequence of it is that even a weak Command Creature spell is strong enough to boss him around.

Good evidence why Magic was trash in morrowind. Late game content is just suicidal due to reflect feature.

That may be overstating things a bit. Despite the fact that many of the characters featured in this video have a Reflect ability, it's still a relatively rare magic effect in Morrowind. For example, in the Bloodmoon expansion pack, only Hircine's three Aspects, Karstaag, Dire Frost Atronachs, and Riekling Raiders possess some degree of it. Note that the hardest enemies in Bloodmoon, the werewolves, are missing from this list (they're also susceptible to all magic attacks save for Poison).

@@vivecarenapit While true, it's still frustrating for players to find out after playing 100's of hours as mage that some encounters are impossible for them. Especially those with 100% reflect...

There are some encounters in the game that are definitely impossible for a pure Destruction mage, like the (optional) fight against Helseth and his Royal Guards in his throne room and the Riekling Raider swarms (Raiders have a 60 percent Reflect ability, which is high enough to make the use of elemental attacks against them not worth it). However, a magic user can still come out on top in these fights by abusing Conjuration and summoning a massive horde of melee-only summons. So while it would be much easier to just whack these kinds of enemies dead with a melee weapon, they're still beatable as a mage.@@Tespri

@@vivecarenapit that only works if they have leveled conjuration and it takes some glitch/bug abusement. I done it before and it took way too long to win the fight. It's borderline cheating and boring. Might as well just try to kite and shoot with crossbow for hours.
