That was in LA when I was super young, teenager. Did what I wanted too and Mom trusted me. I dropped out if HS as a Sophomore so Mom knew I was going to be a different kind of learner. Mom hated it and let me know it Lol She was very disappointed but opposite when I attended College 4-5 years and earned 170 Credits. Also a talented hooper growing up but when my friends moved in to my neighborhood and introduced Back in Black, All the Halen Albums Etc I was hooked. It wasn't long before I was sitting down with Shane learning guitar, electric. Shane was like older brother and best friend. Taught me a lot and always encouraged.

Palpable, eh? I guess it was even more so after the "p(h)arting shot from Steve Jones"...
@simonperry85694 жыл бұрын
Indeed. The way he noodled on the guitar anytime the others were speaking was really rude and annoying. And his "banter" was always a bit of a passive-aggressive put-down of Jonesy. He Needed to park his ego at the door and just go with the flow - it's Jonesy's show after all.

I met Vivian on Holy Diver Tour Starry Night Club out back by Fence. RJD was signing autographs and out walks The Shining Star & Ax Man, Vivian Campbell. I was in front of Viv pleading for a guitar pic but didn't get one Lol Few years later at Whitesnake 8Th Row Memorial Coliseum caught Guitar Pic With Viv's name On It. Never forget it. Literally felt it hit my hand. Viv best shot ever. In closing it inspired me to become a better guitar player and person. I practiced 4-8 hours a day. Only had a small handful of lessons from fellow musician and close friends. Note: it's not by accident I'm good either. ***A lot of people invested time into me helping develop my style, character Etc My friends might of felt for the kid that grew up most of life without a Pops. But somehow made it work. I ended up pretty blessed. BTW Phil could pass for Jimmy Bains Son!!

Im well aware it was a popular folk song that the dubliners covered - i never attempted to say otherwise - thats just nit picking taking the word hit out of context - they were the first to have it played on radio etc same difference!

Must Read:::::: When Randy Rhoades died and Dio went solo and brought Vivian aboard for Holy Diver I felt like it not only Saved My Life & Countless Others, ut in long run, it saved Metal. Kind of looking for new and fresh and you guys offer that. Last in Line A Factor!!! Heavy Crown And 2 Very comparable, just different. Vivian Campbell Was One of The Nicest Human Beings I Ever Met, and So Was Ronald James Paldanova/Aka Ronnie James Dio formerly of Elf, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, & Dio. Pls. Note: Me and a friend or two drive to Music Millennium, Huge Two Story, Music Store located in Portland, Oregon. ***We waited 3 Hrs. In line to meet R.J.D. I asked Ronnie a question while he personalized his signature on cover of Holy Diver Album. It said To KEVIN From Ronnie James Dio. Very Imp. I asked Ronnie to Compare Viv with Tony Iomi and he described Viv as one who plays with a lot of soul, feel. Great description since Viv never had a lesson til later. To me then and now, that's just absurd, insane Lol He might of described Tony as being mechanical since he just left Sabbath. And if he did, not sure I'd agree with that. But my thing was just ask Ronnie something intelligent, be nice, respectful, and don't say anything to get him pissed Lol Essentially get out if their with my album and memory Lol Ronnie had the most beautiful large cursive writing I'd ever seen. In closing I picked strawberryberrys 8 hours to buy that album. My friend bought an Ozzy album. We were out their all day working and anticipating our albums. It felt like Christmas. Taught me something.

And anyone who can Rock on bass with Viv has to be great. Tell Vinny, stay healthy. Don't need to lose another mner. Stay strong, health Conscious, and you'll live long and stay productive. Destruction of self isn't cool anymore. Van Halen taught us that. Roth couldn't even recall lyrics a lot of the time and his verses weren't even that long. Yeah singing and remembering lyrics is a tough gig then stay somewhat sober for fucks sake. If not for you, then the good of the band, the whole.
